This isn't offical yet but it will be as soon the office opens on monday. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Raptors and Bulls agreed to a deal Saturday that will send Jalen Rose, Lonny Baxter and Donyell Marshall to Toronto for Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Chris Jefferies, ESPN's David Aldridge has learned.</div> will the lineup for the raps be like this: PG - Jalen Rose SG - Vince Carter SF - Donyell Marshall PF - Chris Bosh/Lonny Baxter C - Bateer/Moiso/Baxter Source: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1673879
Kid- Question. Just curious, would you want to see Vince at the SF and Jalen at the SG, or Vince at the SG, and Jalen at the SF? (This question is for all)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">TThis is in the raptors forum by the why.</div> yea...thanx for that update... so whos playing for the raps tonight?
I hope that there are picks involved because the Raptors absolutely rape the Bulls in this deal. Does anyone think that Marshall should and will start over Bosh at Power Forward, Carter should start at Small Forward, Morris Petterson at Shooting Guard, and Jalen Rose running the point?
Man, I thought Chicago was supposed to be playing for the playoffs this year, not rebuilding again. Damn. Oh well. At least they still have Jamal. Though, god only knows how long that could last.
I like Chicago alot more now that Junk Yard Dog is on the team. It will be cool to see Jalen playing with Vince
Yea, the Raptors, I think, could be serious contenders. This is assuming that Jalen gets his fair share of touches and Vince doesn't try to do it all by himself.

I think Bosh will hold down that PF spot. He is starting to pick it up big time. The real question is this - will the Raps really improve their scoring enough to pull them above the .500 mark? Will this trade really have that effect? Maybe so, but I can't imagine a guy like Rose (somewhat of a problem player) really vaulting them into the top 4 in the East. Maybe it keeps them around 6?
The only part of this trade that bothers me is that in the paint, we're now worse off then we were...or are we? The bottom line is things needed to be shaken up. You can't be a fan that wants to see the players you've grown up with all the time. You have to have the best interest of the team and WINNING in mind. This trade gets the blood pumping and shows everyone else, either life up yer skirt, grab yer balls and score! or pak your bags! Davis did not want to be here in Toronto, don't be so stubborn to not realize this because everyone else does. He wanted out, we wanted him out. The guy wasn't the topic of every trade rumor for the past 3 years for nothin'. Now that he's gone, yes our inside 5 spot is vacant, but that's why guys like Moiso are on the roster. Now he's gotta chance to come in, prove himself and help this team out. Bosh playing the 5 is only going to hurt his game and his confidence, he's not that kind of player and i don't ever see him being a contributing center for a team, he's a great fit in the 4 spot so if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Jalen Rose Jalen Rose, Jalen Rose. What more can you say! I'm exTATIC he's coming to T.O. Much like Davis the guy wanted out of Chicago, and really, can you blame 'em? Coming to Toronto Rose will definitely pick up that scoring load and have no problems with it. As for the attitude, I don't think it'll be a problem b/c with him being shipped out of Chicago and to a decent team with a franchise player like Vince, both all-stars will be content helping each other out. It was sad to see JYD go, I don't think anyone on Canadian soil wanted to see that go. The guy just, FIT here ya know. You looked at 'em and while you didn't aww at his charming good looks, you knew he was a commited person that would go to war and bust his ass for you on any given night. BUT, if I was forced to watch the dog move to another neighbourhood I can't think of another guy I'd like to see replace 'em then Donyell Marshall. If your gonna bring in new talent overtop of JYD, it might as well be 13pts & 9 boards a game talent. All and all I'm pleased with the trade, it got Davis out of Toronto which was just bad news for too long, and it brought Jalen Rose to Toronto. I think Vince is gonna get alot more 1on1 time now, and the other shooters like A-Will and even Bosh will get that extra look on their shot with everyone not so quick to double now. Good trade, good time'ing, just when I think you can't possibly get any worse GG, you go and do somethin' like this...AND TOTALLY REEDEEEAM YOURSELF, HAA!

He will continue to start. Rose will play SF. VC will play SG. I dont no what they will do with Bosh and Marshall.
Excellent trade for the Raptors.IF they play as a team while Carter and Rose work well togeather they could get a top 5-6 seed.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">Ya the Pistons better watch out lol.</div> I said 5-6th seed not 1-2 seed
Well, I dunno. The Raptors really need to score. They better hope that this trade helps that category of their game. I think it should, but, you never know. The reason I say this, outside of the fact that you need to score to win, they're the lowest scoring team in the NBA. Going into last night they were averaging just over 78 ppg. They only scored 66 last night. That's the 4th time already this season that they've been held to under 70 in a game. This team better hope that the Rose trade gives them scoring like it should. Cause, that's what their in desperate need of.
