Season Stats: NJN: PPG: 87.8 Opp PPG: 86.3 FG%: .427 Opp FG%: .424 RPG: 38.8 Opp RPG: 42.7 UTAH: PPG: 93.1 Opp PPG: 92.3 FG%: .449 Opp FG%: .441 RPG: 41.8 Opp RPG: 36.1 New Jersey's Concerns/ Utah's Strengths: 1. Utah is averaging 93.1 as opposed to their 87.8 average. 2. They're giving more rebounds to their opponents (this can be a problem with AK47) 3. They are on a losing streak as opposed to Utah's winning streak. 4. Utah has won the last three meetings between the teams and 14 of 16 at home. Utah's Concerns/ New Jersey's Strengths: 1. New Jersey's ability to bounce back from a loss. Judging from the way they rallied in the second half against the Kings, the Nets can smell blood. 2. They're allowing a lot of points. 3. Jason Kidd outclassing the PG's of Utah. 4. The Nets fastbreak attack. Key Match-up: Kenyon Martin 17.7 ppg 9.2 rpg 2.0 apg Andrei Kirilenko 17.3 ppg 7.5 rpg 3.0 apg Pretty good match-up if you ask me. This match-up can spell the difference. Judging from the way K-Mart is playing, I'm betting that he'll get the better end of this match-up. Look for him to score in the 20's. Prediction: The Nets will use their fastbreak attack as usual. The Nets will take advantage of their advantage at the PG position. However, look for Utah's hustle to try to keep the game close. Nets win the game by 10 or more. On a side note: This is the first time that the Collins twins will face one another on the court. This won't make that much of an impact anyway since Jarron isn't getting a lot of PT.
I like the Nets in this one but then again, the Jazz just keep on suprising. I see it coming down to the wire.
Thanks! The Jazz is indeed surprising. But I can still see the Nets momentum from last game. Watch out Utah!
After coming off a bad loss to a superior team like Sacramento, I still do hold my opinion of New Jersey to come out on top. Utah, may have improved, and have talent from Kirelenko, New Jersey's big men are definantly gonna be able to hold him off and prevent him from putting up numbers (especially in pts and rebs). Let me give a score off the top of my head... NJ 87- UTAH-81.
Jazz by 7 Jazz have been outstanding at home. Kenyon Martin will score 18 pts, 9 rebs, 3 assists Andrei Kirilenko will score 21, 7 rebs, 4 assists Thats my prediction Utah 94 Nets 87
They may have been outstanding at home, but the Nets are a class act. They're a juggernaut waiting to happen.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post">, but the Nets are a class act. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting BallerAK47:</div><div class="quote_post">It will be a well fought game, but Utah will prevail</div> The Kirielnko fan stands tall. Anyway, allnet is right. NJ does look poor this season. Even my team who isnt anything special (76ers) are ahead of the Nets. The Nets have gone through many changes over the past two years which now affect their team chemistry and ability to win games.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">They certainly havn't been this season they have looked quite poor.Although you are a big Nets fan so I will let you off with that comment </div> Hahaha...What I meant was they are a class act and eventhough they're on a slump right now, they can easily bounce back as shown in the second half of their game with the Kings. That's why I added a comment that they're a juggernaut waiting to happen. They're back2back Eastern Champions. They're cominnnnnnnnnnnn baaaaaaaaaacccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkk....
So much for NJ having a big rebound game At this point its 37-15 Jazz advantage and the Jazz are up 17
Final Score 91-84 Jazz, I got the margin right I was really close with AK's stats, not so close with Kenyon's Jazz outrebounded the Nets 50-25
Seems like Nets are trying to make a run at Okafor.Maybe Eddie Jordan was the guy behind the Nets success.Very odd to see them continue to struggle.
They're not gonna get Okafor though. The Magic will. New Jersey will be just fine. They are running through a slump, .500 is the 4th best record in the East, so they will definetely make the playoffs and likely win the Atlantic Division. They are gonna go for a run, soon.
darn...I was afraid of logging in. It's a good thing you let me off easy. hehehe. Nice prediction AK47. Looks like the Nets' Juggernaut will have to wait. Looks like they're starting to have the habit of slacking off in the first half and booming in the 2nd half only to come short. Come on NETS what's wrong with you?!?!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BallerAK47:</div><div class="quote_post"> Jazz outrebounded the Nets 50-25</div> WHOA! What happened Jersey? Your PG avg 7 rpg last year and u hav K-mart. Thats a shame, still on the good side, for me you our still behind the 76ers.
