It's hard not to notice the Nuggets when they are 10-6, a half-game behind first-place Dallas in the Midwest Division. The Nugs GM Kiki Vandeweghe is keeping his feet firmly on the ground as he knows only too well of the bumpy ride the team has experienced over the past years. "We're happy with what's going on," he said. "But its a building process. There will be good days and bad days." The Pepsi Center had its second highest crowd ever on Friday when the Nuggets toppled the Mavs 113-106. So what do you guys think is the reason for this success. I know its still reasonably early in the season, but the Nuggets are looking very strong. Is it Melo? Miller? Boykins? Vandeweghe? Bzdelik? All of them? Something else? Post any thoughts here.
Boykins is the main reason. They've won a lot of 4th quarters (and usually the game) because of this guy.
I think that obviously Melo has helped them out alot, but Boykins is really playing well and getting them wins.
Boykins is the x-factor. He showed that last year in Golden State as he was the 4th quarter man over Gilbert Arenas. Plus this team has winners, Barry, Lenard, and Camby. They have a great point guard in Andre Miller who is one of the more smart players in the league. Kiki has just put a great combination together.
