    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post">NOT.

Purple & Gold... if had a biased pick, he would have picked Rasheed Wallace, Bonzi Wells or Zach Randolph, something along those lines. Get your definition of bias straight and stop trying to pick a particular members thread apart because he might have proved you wrong in another forum (or whatever).</div>

lol. Being biased doesn't always have to do with your favorite players, or players on your teams. The fact that he said he HATED one player, and then said another player is a better player to build around, with the reason being because he hated TD, is biased.

    Biased
    1. A preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment. "HATE"
    2. An unfair act or policy stemming from prejudice.

Proved me wrong in another forum? I suggest you don't speak on anything that you don't know about.

    Here's how I see it;

You are mad about our discussion in the Lakers forum. So you followed me here and started this mess. It was a good discussion, thanks for killing it.

<font color="blue">If we can avoid an argument over the word "biased", I think this thread has real potential. I have deleted the "innappropriate" posts. Thread re-opened. Lets please keep this thread back on track. Thanks you.</font>

I'd go with KG...versatile, young, team player, he's got some bite and is just entering his prime

Both had big games tonight. KG saved his team to force a OT. And Duncan led his team with 47. Can't go wrong with either, I could take either one.

1st Option would be Kevin Garnett for all the reasons above, he can do everything, if given the right players, he can lead a team into the Championship.

2nd option would be Jermaine O'neal. Jermaine is still very young and is still learning the game, he is not as good as Garnett or Duncan YET. He hasnt even hit his prime yet, pending injuries, this man could be one of the better big men to play the game.

I dont know if I could build a team around a guard, unless I know he would be gettin some of the best role players in the game. Look at Iveron's case, that whole team was built around him, but he will never win a championship in Philly, same with T mac.

Other PLayers I would Build Around: TD, Zach Randolph (up and coming force in this league), and possibly LeBron James, it goes against what i said about Guards, but LeBron makes everyone around him better.

Once again, I'm going with Tim Duncan.

You can't go wrong with KG either, but TD has done a lot more in my opinion. He has showed that he can be a true leader and can lead a team to an NBA championship. Sure he had good role players but so did Jordan when he won all of his.

You have to build around a big man IMO, no one better out there than Tim Duncan.

Bron Bron, no doubt. He's already playin all-star cailber ball, he'll make you alot of money, and in the future, he'll be the best in the leauge. He should be in the leauge for at least 15 more years, while players like TD and KG have 10 left.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mel:</div><div class="quote_post">No disrespect to KG, TD, etc. but I'd like to see a team built around Kobe. Perhaps get a point-forward sidekick ala vintage Pippen and go for the championship without a dominating bigman ala the Bulls Dynasty. If Kobe has the right people on his team that would compliment his game, it'd be awesome as hell to watch.

I also like the idea of building around Lebron...a team that was built around him would be exciting as hell to watch.</div>

I almost got eaten alive in another thread by pointing out the same thing. Kobe with a complementary star player (Gasol or Brand) would be a thing to watch. I believe that's why he has a great opportunity if he leaves the Lakers.

That being said, I'll pick either Duncan or Garnett, for all the reasons that others have pointed before, and although in a pure basketball sense I'd have to go with Duncan in the real world a team has to be marketable... so Garnett is my pick.

But I would go with someone who has already proven himself, proven to be a champion. Plus I dont like the idea of building around a guard, given Bron is a big one.

As of right now, my pick is TD. Who knows, maybe in a few years I will change my mind, but right now I'm going with the back to back MVP.[IMG]

I don't get it. Why only a few people mentioned Kidd? I know I'm not being biased when I mentioned him. He took a lottery team to the finals! How great is that? He was surrounded by a bunch of young ones. They don't have a dominant veteran. I mean, all you have to do is take Kidd, build the team just like what they're doing now then put in an average Center. You have a team that will take you to the finals.

But still, I'd pick KG over him. [IMG]

You really couldn't go wrong with Kidd either. The thing is there are better, younger players that I would take before him.

I would be a tough decision for me between Kidd and Bron. Kidd has already proven what he can do and he makes everyone around him better. Bron has proved that he belongs in this league and will be a superstar. Brons strong point: Young, scorer
Kidd's strong point: Makes everyone around him better.

Yeah, J. Kidd is a great player to build a team around, he makes everyone around him a better player.
