If you were to pick a "4th quarter team"/"last minute/second team" who would it be? Only people who are still in the NBA, no Magic, Bird, Mj, things like that. PG- Nick Van Exel: Ice cold veins SG- Allen Iverson: He is clutch SF- Kobe Bryant: Not much need to be said PF- Kevin Garnett: Over Duncan because he is more versitile C- Shaq: Once hes near the hoop and he wants that basketball, just move <font color="Red">*Never use that kind of language on this board again*</font> Others: PG- Mike Bibby: this guy got Ice Cold veins too PG- Baron Davis: has hit a lot of clutch shots SF- Paul Pierce: Highest 4th quarter avg. SG/SF- T-Mac":He has been clutch SF/SG: VC: This guy is also clutch Last Second Shot: Robert Horry <font color="Red">Please review the guidelines, and check your private messages. -TB76</font>

He is a big guy to have in the fourth quater but his free throws are horrible. He is a liability in the final seconds. Until he gets his FT % above 70%, I don't want him in the game in the final seconds...offensively that is.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">Who else would you put there? Duncan maybe?</div>Most definately. Good list though, besides Shaq, thats who I would pick.
foul shots dont get much better with duncan i believe(around 64-65% this year)... go for garnett at 5 and dirk at 4.. or the other way around.. if u want clutch OFFENCE and free-throw shooting that is defence.. kick dirk out of the lineup

TD is a huge improvement than Shaq, free throw wise.
Yea true if you on offense you probably would want Dirk in there, but Garnett would be the only inside game...
true.. dirk can grab some boards and a has a little jump hook now, but he definately cannot grab offensive rebounds.. garnett would have to board everything
Nobody has any love for Reggie Miller? My younger brother is a die-hard Pacer's fan, and always reminds me about the "8 points in 8.6 seconds".

Reggie Miller is probably still not a bad choice but he is older. He is definately one of the clutch players of all-time.
I'm surprised there's been no love for Marbury and Billups. Easily the two most clutch point guards in the league. Last year Marbury led the league in fourth quarter points I believe (either that or he was top 3-5) and was among the league leaders in buzzer beaters. If I'm not mistaken, Billups was the leader in game winning shots.

Marbury did hit that shot, but Billups is my mistake. I was thinkin to put him than I just forgot... my bad, add him to the bench tho, I would rather have Van Exel in there. Billups has missed some clutch free throws this year that cost them the game so I don't know.. but he deserves to be there. Marbury yea he should be on there but he still has all those people in front of him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think MVPlaya was referrnig to players right now. How does he have all those people in front of him? The only player at PG that has atleast some sort of argument against Marbury is Billups. Like I said, Marbury was tops, if not top 3, in the league in fourth quarter points. Being clutch is more than the last minute of the game. He can stop opposing PG's in the clutch and no other PG can guard him in the clutch. How are people ahead of him?

^^^ Van Exel is in front of him, and probably Billups... just look at Van Exel the other night, the 3 off the screen, Deezy know what I'm talkin about. He deserves to be in the others, not starter, but Billups has shown more, you said yourself he lead the league in game winning shots.
Ok apparently you guys don't get the point of being the league leader (top 3 definately) in fourth quarter points. Billups may have led the league in game winning shots, but the advantage he held over Marbury in that category was only two shots at most. I don't think that makes up for the games Marbury sealed with his consistent scoring throughout the fourth quarter. Rudeezy, what NVE did in last year's playoffs negates what Marbury did throughout the whole season AND the playoffs? I agree that NVE is clutch, but he isn't on the level of Marbury. He doesn't do as much for the team in the fourth quarter in terms of total points (assists and points) and just leading the team to victory.
I'm with Rudeezy on this one. Marbury is clutch, no doubting that at all, but if I want a PG to deliver consistently in the clutch I'm putting the ball in Nick's hands.
