Ive seen Reggie create his own shots for last minute shots. Whether its fade aways or open threes, he gets it done. Also a big facter is free throw shooting. Reggie is one if not the best free throw shooter ever. That also comes in handy down the stretch of a game.
And Kobe has needed a Shaq one could say to agrye back, but that is far too easy to say, I'll add more. If it was that easy then everyone would be able to stop Reggie with better gameplans. Forget the way he played against Kobe in the Finals? Reggie more than held his own, scoring in many one one one instances. Miller OWNS MSG as well. You set them up, I'll knock them down every time.
^^^ I don't think Reggie is clutch as much NOW as he was before. I would rather have kobe in there. And when you said Kobe has used shaq, I don't see where. When lakers needed a game winning shot, it was mostly Kobe one on one, maybe a screen but not much more. Kobe can CREATE his shot, juke, cross over, reggie can't do this.
PG-Chauncy Billups-This guy is CLUTCH, obviously hes shown that last year, and hes great at the line. I could have put many other pgs such as Marbury, and Bibby, but Billups wins this one. SG-Reggie Miller-8 pts in 8.6 seconds, that pretty much tells it all, he showed some clutch shots against the Nets the first year they went to the finals in Game 5 of the first round. SF-Tracy McGrady-Tracy is tall and can jump over any defender to shoot, he showed his clutch skills against the Raptors, even though they lost, hes on my list. PF-Dirk Nowitzki-Dirk has a great shot, you can put 10 men on this guy and he'd still make the shot. C-Vlade Divac-Hes a great passer, this is essential in crunch time, also hes not a terrible FT shooter so if he goes to the line hes bound to hit 70% of them.
I think I would take Kobe over Reggie in the clutch anyday now. Remember, those 8 points in 8 seconds were while Reggie was at his peak. He has slowly faded away, partially cause he's now surrounded by talent and partially cause he's just no longer the player he once was. But, Kobe, at the end of games, he has the insane ability to creat separation and just knock it down. And, if he can't get separation, he just has that knack for hitting the impossible shot at the end of games. He's the single best player at the end of games I think cause he's able to create for himself or just hit the flat out impossible shot.
How this turned into a Kobe vs Reggie debate I have no idea. Wait, I do. MVP, lay of if someone does not agree with you, it happens a lot, so just relax and let them have their opinion instead of trying to prove everybody wrong becaise of how you feel personally. You can't go wrong with either play, so can it.

You don't step in if nobody cares... you are abusing your powers as a mod. I don't think you know what forums are for, nor do you know what a debate is.
Pg : Billups => Chauncey ,you are crazy ... Do I need to say more? Sg: Reggie Miller => Give him the ball in the last seconds, the game is over ... Sf: Kobe => I think he's a better shooter dan T-Mac... Pf: Robert Horry => Remember the WCF in 2002 C: Vlade Divac => Free-throw is decent

If I was battling back in a game, and had to have a guy lead me back through the 4th, then go to Kobe. But when it comes to a GW shot, have to go with Reggie. Kobe isn't as experianced as Miller for these GW shots. Reggie would take a smarter shot that he knows he could make, rather for Kobe I could just see him taking a fade away three. Remember, when Reggie missed that GW shot in the finals vs the Lakers, after the game he said "All I needed to do, was lift my shot up a little bit more, and it would have went in, I got to point where my shot is almost automatic." I trust those words from Reggie, he gets the ball when the game is on the line.

Name some situations or some valid points why they should be in there. Since I'm late on these thread... Nick Van Exel- Everyone pretty much cleared it up earlier in the thread why he should be in the lineup Kobe Bryant- You need a big 4th quarter comeback, you want the ball in his hands. He's shown he can hit the game winners and lead games where Shaq fouls out/being doubled. Vince Carter- Shown he can be a clutch player in the Raps/Sixers series a few years back. Hit big shots, led the Raptors, but fell short. Paul Pierce- Don't need to speak for him, you've seen him in the playoffs Shaq- I want him in the game, just to have him in the game. You can depend on him to post and do his little hook in the key if you need an easy 2 points. Also, like he says, if they want to pull a "Hack a Shaq", he can hit the big free throws when his team needs them. Mine isn't really a lineup, just naming some easy names.

I don't see why you would leave reggie miller off of this list, he may be old but he is the person I would pass to if the game were on the line <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">If you were to pick a "4th quarter team"/"last minute/second team" who would it be? In the nba right now even with Reggies age, there is noone who wants to win more and he has proven people wrong time and time again. Anyone who has the guts to go toe to toe with the greatest powers in basketball(Michael Jordan and New York Knicks) and come out with the win is number one in my books no matter what time it is.

Its Reggie Miller!!!!!!!!! Guys come on you know its got to be Reggie Miller!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS THE BEST CLUTCH ever and STILL in the NBA.......... You have to see him swish a three with leagues top defenders guarding him, during the last seconds and he will just make that 3 that is old school my friend
