I have read repeatedly about how people complain of Kobe's cockiness and his bad attitude (for example, about every single issue of SLAM...). However, I think that his attitude is nowhere near TMac's cockiness and immaturity. Remember a couple of years ago in teh playoffs when the Magic were playing the Hornets? TMac proclaimed that he was easily the best player in teh series, and then got lit up by Baron who totally outplayed the next couple of games to take the series. Remember his comments last year? About how it felt great to finally be moving out of the first round? Well, we all know what happened... Detroit made a comeback and won the series. TMac didn't play like the superstar he says he is in Game 7. He complains about not being consulted by management on team decisions, when he actually was. He whines when he loses (read the thread in the JBB news flash forum)- he supposedly wants to go back to Toronto because he doesn't like losing anymore. Also, have you guys read teh adidas TMac advertisements in magazines? He's always talking about how he lit some guy up for 40, or how he'd the best, or how he can windmill whenever he wants to. Kobe's commercials (for example, the Sprite one) just talk about how hard he works- nothing wrong or cocky with that. I just feel that people need to stop hating Kobe and stating false reasons, when in fact, it is McGrady who seriously needs an attitude check. Thread moved by Rudeezy
I dont think Kobe is any cockier than Jordan was, and people adore Jordan. I dont read SLAM so i don't know what they write about.

I respected him as a player, but I hated him. As years have passed I not only respect him, I have grown to love him(as a player that is )
