The Raptors upgraded their offense Monday by acquiring swingman Jalen Rose and forwards Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter in a six-player trade with the Chicago Bulls. Marshall and Rose made their debuts on Tuesday as Toronto posted a 95-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the finale of a four-game road trip. Marshall scored a season-high 27 points and Vince Carter had 10 of his 21 in the fourth quarter and handed out a career-high 12 assists as the Raptors won for the third time in four games. Toronto rookie Chris Bosh had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Alvin Williams scored 15 points. Rose had six points and eight assists. The Raptors were averaging fewer than 80 points per game but were helped greatly by their new additions, scoring more than 90 for just the third time and shooting 47 percent (34-of-72). Boston has dropped six of its last eight games after Monday's 96-89 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Paul Pierce scored 26 points and Eric Williams added 12 off the bench for Boston, which shot just 38 percent (32-of-84) from the floor. The Celtics have lost five of their last seven games on the road, where they play three of their next four. Boston won two of three meetings with Toronto last season, including its only visit to Air Canada Centre. The Celtics have won seven of the last 10 overall meetings with the Raptors." </div> Full Story It is not clear who will be starting tonight especially for the Raptors. With the addition of three new players K.O. will have many new combinations to try. With the success of last night?s game in Philly it is probable that he will stick with what worked. All eyes of course will be on the stars. Vince and Paul will be looked for to lead their teams but for the second game in a row Vince will have some new help and Raptor fans are excited to see how this is going to play out. Look for Rose to try to score more than he did last night.
I think toronto will take the win this game. Prediction Toronto-87 Celtics-83 Jalen comes out big and helps Vince out alot. Donyell will get to the line and own the paint. Alvin will come up with clutch plays. Pierce will score 27. Vince scores 24. Bosh gets 4 blocks with his 11 points and will go to the line 8 times.
Toronto will win. I think carter will have a big night being covered by Kedrick Brown. Bosh will play exceptionally well about 10pts 10 rebs. marshall will get 15 10. and rose will get 15 4 6 asts, and alvin will get 10 all in the clutch
If it wasnt for the trade, I owulda gone with torontos sterak-no back-to-back wins. THis will be their 6th back to back, and i think they can do it. I hope Moiso steps up. He had a good game starting against the hawks, but not last night. He needs to show that he can perform like that every night. Predicition: Raptors: 91 || Celitcs: 82
Prediction: Celtics 91 Raptors 89. A close game, but the Celtics pull it out. It comes down to this.... *Rose dribbles down the court... what.. he fires a shot up... its looking good... aww... a brick... Raptors lose the game.... Vince was wide open for the trey.... but Rose shot it any way.*
Marshall has turned out to be a stud. Baxter in only 18 min. had 9 rebounds. Rose played poorly like I expected. And I nice showing from Morris Peterson with 15 off the bench. Good game Raptors.
nba.com isnt working for me...what was VC and Rose's stats.... I think Marshall And VC will be a solid combo...

<font color="purple"> Box Score</font> I am thrilled by the last two games! I'm fine with Rose getting 9 a game if he's going to keep getting 5 assists and Marshall keeps scoring in the 20's. The best thing is that the addition of these new players doesn't seem to have hurt Vince's numbers at all. In fact he's doing better now that he has people to pass to. Great win!
The raptors played great today. This is the second game in a row that they've scored over 90 pts in regulation, and its obvious this trade is helping them a lot. I'm glad to see some help around Vince, this is the second game in a row hes got at least 10 assists or more (12, 10). The Raptors as a team made 17 threes, 2 away from the NBA record, which is also an NBA season high this year. I like how Kevin Oneil is playing Rose at PG most of the time, hes easily finding the open man, and whats really suprising is that the Raptors these past two games have moved the ball around very well. Next Game: Friday Dec. 5th, at home vs. Atlanta.
I think the Raptors will beat Atlanta with flying coloUrs if they play like they did the last 2 games.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Prophecy:</div><div class="quote_post">That was a little late on the predictions bud.</div> lol whoops
This trade so far has really helped Alvin Williams. I like how he is playing alot of shooting guard. Bosh is a good dunker I wonder if he has a shot at being in the dunk contest?
I would say he is a little too tall to win it. He can't do some of those amazing dunk those 6'5" and 6'6" gaurds can. But he can certainly dunk come game time.
