Nets On The "Rebound" <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nets coach Byron Scott has preached the virtues of rebounding for weeks. He has pleaded with his team to play with more urgency and energy at the start of games. And still, his words seem to fall on deaf ears. "We talked about the rebounding department for the past two weeks," an exasperated Scott said after watching the Nets get blasted 51-25 on the glass in a loss to Utah on Monday. "And we still haven't taken it to heart."</div> Link
Rebounding... a serious reason why I always felt Keynon Martin was a lil bit overrated. We always claim hes a great physical player and defender. Which he is (especially a annoying defender). But why can't this man pull down 10 rebounds night in and night out on a consistant basis. This is supposed to be one of the more physical players in the NBA, which should translate into more rebounds. It makes me question is worth ethic throught the course of a game.
Sometimes I wonder about that too. There are nights where he'll grab 15 rebounds. So he can do it. One reason I can think of is his desire to run on the break at once to accept a Kidd pass on the break so he's usually not there to grab the board.
