Im a Raiders fan, and would have posted this in the Oakland forum, but every1 would have said yes. Now honestly, does any1 think they have any sort of chance to take the West? If you ask me they have some of the most talented players in the league, and somne are really young. P.Buchanon, N.Harris, J.Porter, D.Gabriel, J.Fargas, C.Woodson. I think they have the ability to be contenders if they settle this QB Debate.

no, i doubt it. Chiefs are alot better, and this is the year we find out if Shanahan is a true genius with the o-line considering his O-coach left for atlanta, and i think the odds are in Shanahans favor.

But lets say teams find a way of shutting down P.Holmes and maybe T.Gonzalez. Those are there only true offensive weapons. Otherwise there team blows, specially defense. If they were so good last year, they would have blown away the Raiders last yr instead of winning 20-17, or 17-10, and almost losing to the Chargers and actually losing to the Bengals.

Uh-oh! Someone escaped from the Black hole!

Ever hear of Trent Green? Tony Richardson? How about Roaf, Shields, Watters and that O-line?

Hatred always brews a close Raider game.

i heard of Trent Green, when he was riding the bench for half of his career. But Trent Green sure does like that certain play were he turns around and gives the ball to Holmes.

Yeah, obviously every 4000 yd. passer who gets voted to the Pro Bowl is a puppet to his RB!

If you want to talk pitiful...How about Gannon's 1200 yd. season?

(Sorry Chip & ROTR - Not aimed at you guys)

the chiefs have one thing going for them, and its not Priest...they have the best O-Line in football....and with the addition of Wellburn, they are 6 deep with pro bowl calibur blockers....to answer the initial question, the Radiers have a better chance of finishing last then 1st...

The Raiders vastly improved on both sides of the ball this offseason, the Cheifs did *not*. The Chiefs barely beat the hobbled, mutinous Raiders last year (Remember that asshole Calahan and the 16 starters on IR?). The Chiefs have 6 Pro Bowl linemen? Yeah, that was last year, buddy. They won't push Sapp, Washington, and Parrella around as easily as they did with Delawrence Grant, Dana Stubblefield, and Chris Cooper last season. Advantage....Raiders. As for Denver, their already declared unbreakable defense will sway backwards as Ty Wheatly knocks them down for 120. The powerful running game will only make Gannon's job that much easier, as he picks apart the Denver secondary (as he has done so frequently in the past). Champ Bailey can't cover everybody, and the Raiders depth at WR and TE ( you know how Norv loves to utilize those guys) will be evident. Advantage... Raiders. I won't even comment on the Chargers.

The Raiders will not only win the AFC West, but will be playing in the divisional playoff round this season.

And if you think that AJ Feely will give you any hope, ah, well, nevermind. LOL

I look forward to reading your Raider hate mail as the Raiders triple the number of Dolphin victories this season. I do expect the Dolphins to win at least 3 games this season.

    Love ya!

Raiders did improve their offensive line and they really beefed up their defensive line with sapp and washington. Both could be walls togeither and stuff the run, much like the 2001 bears did traylor and washington. We all seen what happend to chicago when they lost them two.

As for the chiefs, one thing the chiefs outta be concerned with. Their defense is still horrible. Even in preseason ron dayne ran thru that d line like he seen a large pizza on table in the chiefs end zone. 5 tds giving up on portis last year, seems to still carry over to this year. Lack of draft for defensive players have hurt a very potent chiefs team. We all know at some point you need a defense. Questions with the raiders tho will be their run game.

In the end i think chiefs edge out the raiders, but i dont see chiefs going very far. Who know's stranger things have happend. the panthers went the superbowl after coming off a horrible year in 2002.

Plummer needs to get his head out of his ass... But make no mistake ROTR, the Broncos defense will kick major ass this year!

The Raiders' 2003 season was an anomoly, both for them and for the league as a whole. Remember, much of their Superbowl team from 2002 is still intact (and now *healthy*). The new coaching staff, in my opinion, is by far the most significant offseason adjustment.
