Perhaps he hasn't got the ultimate definitive contract with nike, or doesn't sell so many jerseys but carmelo is definitely a better player than lebron "king" james.

He's more versatil and a more consistant shooter. Lebron never do great in FG%, just correct stats and some nights get a 2/13. Carmelo is always shooting with a FG above 50% wich is great for a forward.

The denver nuggets is a much more promising team than the cavaliers. I just can't stand rick davies, mad shooter, poor inteligence and one big ego. Andre Miller is a great player, he just do a great job, but people our days just want to see crazy dunks and out of the range 3.

I think that the nba is now more than ever followed by a bunch of teens who know nothing about this game and can't enjoy a well done lay-up.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for the bad fg% stats, wrong info. So my second paragraph can be forgotten, I saw stats of the last games only, not averages. Anyway What your opinion, And no I 'm not just trying to flame things up. I don't see anything wrong about arguing.

    Actually

Actually, Carmelo is only shooting 39%, get your facts correct.

Both are great players, don't get me wrong.. but you should backup some of your statements.

Why do you think Carmelo is more versatile? I'll tell you why I think Lebron is..He has the ablilty to play multiple postitions. He rebounds, scores, and dishes the ball. He's there for the steal, and plays solid D.
His current rankings are as followed:
<ul>Ranks #4 in the NBA in Minutes Played(763.0)
<ul>Ranks #5 in the NBA in Minutes Per Game(40.2)
<ul>Ranks #7 in the NBA in Assists(122.0)
<ul>Ranks #9 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(6.4)
<ul>Ranks #10 in the NBA in Field Goal Attempts(309.0)
<ul>Ranks #15 in the NBA in Field Goals Made(124.0)
He is also ranked for turnovers, but I would expect that since he has the ball in his hands so much. He is 18 and running his teams offense.

The league is in good hands. I'm looking foward to watching both of these players and they have already made a huge impact.

Well, currently the Nuggets have a better team. But in my opinion, anyone with Lebron James on their team has a promising future.

for god sake if you don't like the topic don't post anything on it, I just can't stand people like you telling others what is good and what is wrong if the topic is bad it will die by itself, Why must you say loud and clear that you don't like it. And about the age thing I'm not going into that as those high school arguments are well behind.

Here's my opinion on both of them....

Carmello right now is the better rookie over LeBron because if you look at both team's records right now, Denver is 12-6 and Cleveland is 4-14. LeBron is more of a passer than a shooter, in crunch time he doesn't take the game into his own hands to help his team win. And look at this quick stat....Cleveland still hasn't won a road game since last season, and Denver is showing signs of improvement every game.

I agree anybody that has LeBron James has a promising future, but people should watch the hype they put on young players. Because sometimes young players won't perform at a high level. LeBron will develop and get better in years to come, people just gotta be patient.

I think you just have a bias against teens...although technically carmelo is also a teen as well so you would be dissing your hero as well. And there is no way you can say that carmelo is more versatile, just look at the stats and they tell the story, Lebron does the assists on a team who has almost noone that can shoot while Carmelo at least has Lenard and Barry. The Denver nuggets have a more promising team but that doesn't mean that Carmelo is more versatile, it means that Bron is doing his thing on a not so talented team which speaks in volumes.

Don't get it twisted about which team is doing better. Denver is a much better team, they have shooters everywhere. Barry, Boytkins, Lenard, and Nene looking better every game is a way better supporting cast than Clevelend. As of now, I take LeBron, he has struggled, yes, but he's always getting his team involved. We know he can score, that's not his game though. Carmelo has a smooth game, good in the post, but imo LeBron brings more of an overall game.
