Lakers @ Mavericks @ Time: 9:30(Ct time) PLace: American Airlines Center TV: TNT ---------------------- Probable Starters: Gary Payton/Steve Nash Bryant/Finley George/Jamison Malone/Walker Shaq/Forston ---------------------------------- INjury Report: Lakers- Rick Fox-Out Jamaal Sampson-Out Brian Cook-out Mavericks- Jon Steffanson-out Tariq Abdul-Wahad-Out Dirk Nowitzki-OUT ------------------- Keys to the game: Lakers- They are coming off of their third win against San Antonio this year so i think they feel unbeatable...i think the Mavs might suprise them...Devean George has been huge for us...he hit his shots last night he is going to have to do the same...Shaq daddy should get a lot of touches and same with kobe...They need to watch the perimeter and Malone needs to stick Walker because Walker can blow up any night Mavs- They will have to double Shaq and leave someone open...my guess is George and they need to hope his shot is off because he could be the man to kill them...they need to check Kobe and Malone and have Payton make some shots and Run every opportunity they get.. My Prediction: Lakers win once again 99-93
All the Lakers have to do is play their type of basketball. Gary Payton to start the offense, run the fastbreak, Kobe to penetrate and score, Karl Malone to get the ball in the paint, and look for cutting shooters, and for Shaq to hang out in the low post, and have his way with Danny Fortson. Also, the Lakers have to shut down Dallas' perimeter offense because Dallas lives and dies by the three. If Lakers can accomplish all of this, they should snap Dallas' home winning streak, and win by at least 5 pts.

Feed the ball to Shaq. Reward him for his outstanding defense last night and let him abuse the Mavs and Fortson like he did on opening night.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">The Mavs are 10-0 at home to don't expect an easy win. With Dirk out Lakers will win...but It should be a good game worth watching. These kind of games always are.</div> Not to my cocky, I have watched every Laker game and enough Maverick games to know that if any team can handle us in this league, it's definetley not the Mavs. Though they are missing a lot of shots, and had their runs, we have had this game locked from the start. We've been it control the whole game, and like I said, we were going to blow them out the building, just like we are. Only time they cut the lead is when Shaq goes out, they've missed a good amount of baskets just from Shaq standing next to them. Kobe was taking some stupid shots, but has made a lot of them, our defense is there, we jumped started the game by getting easy transition baskets, which is a good way to get an early lead, and we have maintained it throughout the game. GO LAKERS!
With the way you keeping talking about the Lakers I would of guessed you were the MJ Bulls...You are not some unbeatable force and no one has a chance against you.Although being arrogant is what Laker fans are all about so I guess It's no surprise to see you comment like you do.
The Mavs have not been able to handle us for the past 5 seasons. We own this team, and the Lakers got a huge confidence boost last night, breaking the SBC Center curse against the Spurs. Shaq has been huge the last two nights on the defensive end, and is rebounding the way he should be. I just hope the Lakers do not get complacent on their current win streak. Whether you're a Laker fan or not, you have to enjoy the beautiful ball movement and execution the Lakers are accomplishing every night. Each player is touching the ball before a shot goes up. "It's good to be the King."

Because you thought the Mavs would keep it close? When Shaq is unhealthy, we are pretty much unbeatable, seriously. He's been huge on the defensive side, and not A big man in the league can stop him, he dominates. I'm a arrogant Laker fan because I call out a prediction, then when it turns out I'm right, I give a recap of what the game has been like, I said I wasn't being "cocky" it's the truth.

I think the Lakers are the best team of all time? I've been a Laker fan since the greats, and your going to tell me I think this is the best team ever? And since you think they can be beat, name me a team that can face up to them right now. You sound mad in your posts, I'm not being arrogant. I'm having fun. Maybe you can just accept my opinion instead of arguing about it.

Do I think the Lakers are the best team in the league right now? yes.. Do I think their fans should be humble and sportsman about it? yes... Do I think fans should be arrogant just because they have a great team? of course not.My point is this is the reason why there are so many haters...I don't like fans who think they are so much better than everyone else...You win and lose with class.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Saying Lakers are unbeatable is being arrogant...Thats a no brainer.</div> Especially since they have already lost three games. I swear, Lakers and Celtics fans are the worst.....

You must be out of your mind to think the Kings can stop us right now. We finally have a PG who can lock up Bibby, Peja is the only threat in that lineup who can hurt us with how were playing right now. Shaq would dominate similar like he did tonight, no way. When I say unbeatable I don't mean were going to win the rest of our games. I mean when it comes down to it, for the games we need to win, we will win them. I'm happy to be a Laker fan, I don't care if you think I have "class" or not. I'm going to celebrate how I want when my team wins, it's a good feeling.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trail_Blazer76:</div><div class="quote_post">Especially since they have already lost three games. I swear, Lakers and Celtics fans are the worst.....</div> Why do you guys take that statement literally. You think I mean were going 79-3 when I say that? I thought you guys could figure that out yourselves. No team is stepping up, we've won 8 in a row, we've beat all the possible teams that could have a chance to beat us. So yea, as of now I do look at the Lakers as "unbeatable". And if you think I don't have class because I have confidence in my team, then let it be. Nothing I can do about it. And in an arguement, how are you going to fight that a team can beat us right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Purple N Gold:</div><div class="quote_post">The way the Kings win their games doesn't have close to the impact as how the Lakers win theres.</div> Last time I checked playoffs seeds weren't based on the impact of a team's wins. A win is a win, and your comments are extremely biased. The Kings game consists of chemistry, while the Lakers' is raw skill. Vets know how to play with other vets! The Kings are owning the west without their best player. What drama or setbacks have the Lakers had to deal with? LOL, I'll end this post before I violate our guidelines......

I can care less rather someone hates or not, I can't change what they decide on. What bothers me is you naming players like Jackson, Bibby, especially Divac and Miller like their some kind of threat to Shaq. Divac is a soft player who flops, as soon as you get in that game, he will be backing away from Shaq. Miller is a Warrior, but he can't stop Shaq either, and you want to know something, Shaq isn't even 100% You can't mess with this lineup, rather the Kings beat us or not(which I know they won't) we'll get them in the playoffs. That's what it means, this is just to get by and test the skill between other teams for the Lake Show. Getting respect doesn't bother me, I worry about the Lakers winning games, not of what people think.

How are my comments biased? Yea, I don't like the Kings, and I love the Lakers, so of course it's going to sound biased. But the Kings, straight up cannot match up to us right now. I'm sorry, but the Lake Show is running the West right now.
I could sit up all night and argue about NBA. But I'm not, I made my comments, it's done with. You guys act like these comments are shocking, if their not suprising comments since I'm "arrogant" then leave it alone. Enough talking about this game tonight.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I moan about having haters now? Divac flops yes..but he is still a good vet who still gets the job done inside and on the boards.Miller is having a GREAT season...scoring,rebounding getting assists..Divac actualy plays Shaq the best anyone can at that position. Stopping Shaq isn't the key..Never really has been. It's stopping the other players...Bibby and Jackson are pretty much too fast for Payton...in the playoffs you should notive Gary's age show...Christie is a very good defender...Peja likely is the best shooter in the league.I'm not going to bother going over the Kings chances against L.A...But they do have a very good chance at beating you in a series even if you don't want to admit it...If Webber comes back strong and Peja keeps playing like a superstar and only that. I'm done here....You have a great team but thinking you are unbeatable and no one has a chance against you is just plain stupid. As if you do somehow do not get the job done then The letdown will be a painful one.Just like last season.
