<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">I said people like you..Basically very arrogant fans who think their players will do no wrong.

Jackson and Bibby are a great duo..both can score in bunches...what exactly is wrong by mentioning them two? Divac flops yes..but he is still a good vet who still gets the job done inside and on the boards.Miller is having a GREAT season...scoring,rebounding getting assists..Divac actualy plays Shaq the best anyone can at that position.

Stopping Shaq isn't the key..Never really has been. It's stopping the other players...Bibby and Jackson are pretty much too fast for Payton...in the playoffs you should notive Gary's age show...Christie is a very good defender...Peja likely is the best shooter in the league.I'm not going to bother going over the Kings chances against L.A...But they do have a very good chance at beating you in a series even if you don't want to admit it...If Webber comes back strong and Peja keeps playing like a superstar and only that.

I'm done here....You have a great team but thinking you are unbeatable and no one has a chance against you is just plain stupid. As if you do somehow do not get the job done then The letdown will be a painful one.Just like last season.</div>

Sure will be a let down, and a dissapointment to not win it this year. Your not giving me valid points why the Kings have a chance against the Lakers. Your naming me the basics. Only time will tell, I'm done with this topic.

You do a lot of talking for a guy who literally thought I meant the Lakers were going 79-3. :P

I meant to say the comments are going to sound biased, but I'm not. I didn't know team forums were for mods to come in and trash it with other teams.

<font color="Red">First off, I deleted your little comment. Secondly the sig is a tribute to Bonzi, put there intentionally AFTER he was traded. Enjoy! -TB76</font>

Show me a quote where I said, or implied that within the confines of this thread. You need to stop acting silly, and intentionally misinterpreting other member's posts. The Lakers and Kings are both very good teams.

They haven't played yet, so guessing who will win once they do play is speculation. You say that you aren't biased over the kings, but then you say "I hate the Kings, but love the Lakers".

    Absolutely ridiculous.

ok, I just read this whole thread and although Purple N Gold was a bit cocky about his lakers, i gotta say that u guys (Allnet and TB76) are picking on him, and ya'll baited him into an argument. I mean no disrespect to you guys but it wasn't like he was badmouthing the rest of the league. I just get the impression that Puprle n Gold is just really excited about this team, and rightly so. I'm just saying...

Anyways, Lakers were once again impressive. They've beaten San Antonio twice, Indiana, and Dallas in their last 4 games so they deserve some props. But keep in mind, it's not how you play now, but rather how you play in the playoffs. Tonights game proves NOTHING for the lakers, becasue as Shape had mentioned earlier, the Lakers own the mavs.

You really can't ignore what the kings have been doing also. They do look really good, but it's hard to speculate whether they'd be able to beat the lakers. The reason is because its going to come down to how they matchup against each other. The lakers always seem to struggle with the Kings balance (as well as their own imbalance). But this years laker team is different, so we'll see what happens in time.

Nothing personal, but based on your location I'm guessing that you are a little bit biased as well. Re-reading my comments I found a few that could be interpreted as baits, but that was not their intention.

P&G said that the Lakers have beaten every team that has any chance of beating them. Yet they have not played the Kings. That shows bias in his statement right there, because the Lakers have yet to play the Kings. The Kings are arguably the hottest team in the NBA right now, but because he hates them, he doesn't think that they are capable of beating LA.

Nothing personal against P&G, I just dislike seeing bias in posts.

well, I never said I wasn't biased one way or another, but i dont see how that relates to the statement you quoted from my post. If you're implying i'm defending him because he's from california, or because maybe because he's a laker fan, your wrong. I'm just saying you guys were just being a little hard on him, whether he resides from Cali or Anarctica.

Can you guys stop arguing and talk about the game this isnt the Jerry Springer show

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS, Dec. 4 (Ticker) -- Don Nelson is used to seeing his team getting beaten by the Los Angeles Lakers, but this one was too hard to watch.

Shaquille O'Neal set the tone early and had 25 points and 19 rebounds as the Lakers rolled to a 114-103 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, who were outplayed in every phase of the game.

Los Angeles has won 46 of the last 51 meetings with Dallas and the end of its dominance is nowhere in sight as it has perhaps its best team since the 1980s with four superstars in the starting lineup -- O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone and Gary Payton. </div>

Well, look at it this way, this is what I meant. Even though I don't like the Kings(I don't hate them, I don't like them,(if I hated them I would go out and say they suck, which I haven't) and I love the Lakers, so of course my comments are going to sound biased from your perspective, but I'm not. I just don't think any team in this league has a chance against the Lakers right now, is that being biased?

Because I dislike them, isn't the reason why I think LA can beat them. If I truly thought the Kings could beat the Lakers, I would come out and say it is going to be a good game, which it probably will anyway, but I just do not think the Kings can touch the Lakers right now. If you see that I'm biased in this post then oh well, I don't think thinking your team cannot be beat by any team in this league is being biased, it's confidence in my team. Because obviously if they start losing, I'm going to hear it from you guys.

You said we already lost 3 games, so when you said that it means we CAN be beat, which means when you thought I said unbeatable you thought we won't lose any more games. Sounds confusing, I know.

Picking on him? please....The one thing I hate is very arrogant fans who think they can't be beat...that no one has a chance against them..I have seen this too much and It was time I actually said something...Badmouthing the rest of the league? no..more like disrespecting the rest of the teams in this league.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't think thinking your team cannot be beat by any team in this league is being biased, it's confidence in my team.</div>

Confidence is one thing but what you have been saying is another.I don't mind fans saying they should win games or "I hope we will win this,we should do if we play our game" "That team is tough but I feel we are better than that team" but it is the pure arrogance I don't like about fans...when they disrespect other teams.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Because obviously if they start losing, I'm going to hear it from you guys.</div>

Not really,my point wasn't about the Lakers being the best or not..It was the fact it seems as you were disrespecting every team in the league and thinking they aren't on your level. If Lakers start losing I certainly won't be trying to get your attention teasing you about it...I'm not like that.

As for the game last night

Lakers took control early...Mavs needed Dirk to give them more scoring. You need to be on top of your game to beat L.A..Mavs weren't.That elbow by Malone=OUCH!!

This is not a time to be nice, lol.

BTW, Malone showed that he is still a dirty player for nailing Nash in the face. No it was no accident either.

I can't respect him for doing stuff like this over his entire career, not knocking his achievements or ability. I just refuse to respect a cheap shot artist.

Yes it is, because they have yet to play the team that is playing on the same level as them (Kings).

What a game displayed last night by my team, the Los Angeles Lakers. From the start to the finish, the Lakers never lost their lead, and they played with consistency for mostly all of the game. But I will give my pros and cons about this performance. In the first quarter, the Lakers did as expected. Gary payton jumpstarted the offense, and made good decisions with the basketball, and they were just scoring baskets at an easy pace. The Mavericks just didn't know who to guard. And you know what? I can't blame them because you have 4 Hall of Famers on the floor that can easily take over the ballgame, who can you guard? I felt Shaq had his way for the whole entire ballgame. Nobody could stop him. Dallas had so many defenders on Shaq, it was crazy. Antoine Walker, Shawn Bradley, Danny Fortson....and they couldn't do a thing. They just watched him looking helpless. Karl Malone was very aggressive on the boards. Especially on the defensive rebound stats. He was a force in the paint. Kobe Bryant also played a decent game. I wouldn't say great, but he played well enough to help his team win. He penetrated to the basket, dished off assists to his teammates, and he was just the Kobe all Laker fans are familiar with. Now for my cons: I think they gave Steve Nash too much freedom to roam around. I remember I said LA had to shut down their offense on the perimeter, but the Lakers just gave Nash an easy time. He scored 30 pts. Even while Nash was on fastbreaks, he still managed to stop and pull up for an open 3 pointer, and I felt the Lakers could've done a better job by shutting him down. Another thing....Karl Malone. Karl malone has a habit of swinging his elbows around from time to time, but it was pretty disgusting to see Nash get clocked in the chops by his elbow. He really has to look around and see where the opposing team is because to me, that was tough to watch even as a Laker fan. I wanna point out one last fact on last night's game. Who saw Antoine Walker just stink it up? LOL
