Who do you think had the better advantage due to the trade? Being a Raptors fan I may seem bias but I think that Toronto got three good players(2 starters and one legit bench player) and Chicago got two good players and one(Jefferies) that will do nothing at all(1 starters, 1 legit bench player and 1 half of a player). Not even thinking of the the cap situtuation I think in terms of Talent the Raptors pulled a fast one on the Bulls. This is what the Raps got: Rose(Starting point) Marshall(Starting foward) Baxter(Legit bench player) This is what the Bulls got: Davis(Starting centre/power foward) Williams(first person off the bench) Jefferies(First person out of Chicago) When/if the losing starts in Chicago I would like to see Antonio Davis' reaction to that. Will he be pouting like he did in Toronto? I don't like his attitude at all and maybe the same can be said about Rose but I can't say anything about that yet, I guess we'll all have to wait and see who he really is. Marshall seems like he is gonna be a fan favourite but two games is still too early to tell what he will actually produce. Baxter looks to have potential but he has to lose some weight and finish better around the basket. I can't see the Raptors not making the playoffs, but I can see the Bulls not making it. What does everyone else think?
.. .. I defintely think the Raptors got the best of the trade. They had to give up alot inside, but they offloaded on Williams contract, and shipped out a detriorating and increasingly unhappy Davis. The Bulls seemed to the itching to really get rid of Rose...
I think the trade helped both teams. Bulls get rid of Rose, which was the best thing they could possibly do. Also getting some rebounding and energy. Raptors get Donyell marshall, a nice complement scorer, and get Baxter who I think will be good. Negatives for Bulls: Get JYD's bad contract. Negatives for Raps: Get Rose. And his contract.
I find it anti-ironic that Bulls fans say the Bulls got the better end of the deal, as shown in the Bulls Board. And the Raptors pick that the Raptors got the best of the deal. Isn't much of a shocker.
Definitly the Raptors. Marshall is doing fantastic along with Rose. Baxter is grabbing boards the same as AD
Gettin rid of rose is prob the best thing chi did, he shoots and doesn't make shots, he's a ball hawk, but the raps did get the better deal, marshall i think would fit good into the team. I see that on u , vinsanity03's sucks list u have the Magic. Just so u no the Magic doesn't sucks, its only that no 1 other than t-mac is doing anything and t-mac also has to spend some time in the gym training

Putting that in mind, I'm going to say the Raptors got the better end of the deal. Rose/Marshall will make the Raps a top team is the East. Gives them 2 scorers aside from VC, Rose has finally found a home again where he can have the ball and contend for the playoffs.
They players they traded were lauded as "defensive players". How will this affect the defense of Toronto. Will they still have a presence on the inside? That is what I am curious about. Sure...they did win 2 games in a row, but they have yet to play the powerhouses of the NBA.
I think production wise the Raptors definitely got the better end of the deal. But Pax was thinking like Krause did when he unloaded Brad and the Ron's for Rose a couple years ago, hoping the free up space for players. Now shots will be going to the Jamal, Eddy and Tyson, instead of being concentrated on Rose and sometimes Marshall. None of the guys they picked up are supposed to be great offensive tools, though they can put it up when it counts. So in that respect, the Bulls also benefitted nicely. However, I think this might make the Raptors a playoff team, which would hurt the Bulls chances at the end of the year.

And what is this that Tmac has to train in the Gym? Wouldnt that make there team better? Plus everyone has to train.
