Like all Rockets fans, I see the huge potential in this nucleus. However, I think that they need another superstar to get over the hump that is Dallas/LA/Sacramento/San Antonio/Minnesota. I mean, i know they haven't made the playoffs, but they will this year, so they need to start looking ahead. What sacrifices do you think the Rockets should be willing to make to gain a superstar, and what type do you think they need?

Personally, i see it as convenient that Kevin Garnett is coming open in a short while, and that a great rebounder and another scoring threat is just what the Rockets need. I would try to make a sign and trade deal, since Minnesota might not go quietly otherwise. If i were the rockets, I'd be willing to part with Maurice Taylor and Cuttino Mobley to get KG, and then jump some of the bench trash to clear cap space. Then, you could start Jimmy J at the 2 and maybe pick up a Michael Curry or stretch for Shane Battier, a 3 who plays hard d and can hit some shots. I can see that Rockets team going all the way. What about yall?

I think the Rockets are just fine as they are now. Yao Ming will only get better over the next few years and Steve Francis is starting to be in his prime. It will just take time for the Rockets to be contender(2-3 years). I have seem glimses this year of the Rockets truly doing something great. When they play great defense and they move the ball well on offense and shoot the ball well, they are one of the best teams in the league.

I don't think KG will become a Rocket. There is really no one that Minnesota will want for him, besides Yao. They already have their point guard, Cassell and an up and coming one in Hudson. Signing KG wouldnt be an option. Yao Ming will have to be maxed out in a few years, and along with Francis er have spent a majority of our cap.

I really don't see any serious move that the Rockets will make. I think it is just a waiting game right now. Wait on Yao Ming to develop into the type of player we all know he can be. A dynasty is in the works, down here in Houston.
