Rumors going around that Deion might play for the Ravens this year. Um...why?

Is this a joke. Well, call up Barry and tell him Detroit needs him. While we're at it, call up Ronnie Lott, and John Elway.

I don't even know if Deion is fast enough to play safety at this point in his "career." He certainly can't tackle. Never could.

His last season, after some plays he'd be hooked up to oxygen, he has nothing left.

The Ravens don't need him, they have enough young talent, he won't even play. Sit on the sidelines and commentate. You're done washed up.

If you're going to come out of retirement, wouldn't you want to do it with a contender? I mean, I could see him wanting to play for the Patriots or Broncos or Colts or Eagles or Packers, etc., but the Ravens??????

the chargers or broncos hold his rights? rember he was gonna come back with oakland 2 yeears ago, the skins waived him so the raiders could sign him for their SB run, but if i rember right some1 else in the NFC west claimed him off of waivers so he couldnt go to the raiders.

probably the chargers, that makes more sense cause they were probably in the top 5 of the waiver wire cuz they SUCK

I am sure they have relinquished his rights by now(cap reasons). I am confused by something pack attack said. You mentioned you could seeing him coming out of retirement for a contender and then listed 4 contenders the pats broncs colts and eagles. Then you mentioned Green Bay who is by no stretch of the imagination a contender, i mean they are going to be horrible!!! What makes you think the packers are better than the Ravens??

Who do the Packers have to be afraid of in the NFC besides the Eagles? Every NFC team is beatable this year, including the Eagles. The Packers are more of a contender than the Ravens are right now. The AFC is too stacked for them to go anywhere this year.

I also mentioned the Pack because of the Mike McKenzie situation. The Packers could use a corner right now...even a wahsed up one like Deion.

the ravens are in a division thats the worse in football, thats an easy ticket to janurary. pakers are in a tougher division with the vikies and up-comming bears and lions. packers arent looking good for the next few years

I would say that the pack need to be afraid of the Vikes, but that would just be biased. But don't be surprised if both the Bears and the Lions have outstanding years.

Besides, you said it best...without McKenzie the Packers desperately need some DB's. In a division filled with great receivers, you need a pass defense.

Watch the AFC North talk... The Ravens could very well have the best defense in football this year.

As I understand it, Deion is on the Chargers retired/reserved list, meaning they hold his rights indefinetly at no cap charge to them unless he plays....

I saw a thing on Sportscenter last night... Deion is good friends with Ray Lewis. That's why he's talking about the Ravens. I should have known that.

Actually deion is interested in coming out of retirement to be a nickel, dime corner. We all know that he is 37 but with his speed he could easly be one of the top nickel corners in the nfl. Darrell green did it deion can do it. Deion also wants to play for a contender and since the ravens are short on corners why not join a contender. I think balitmore would be a great fit as long as he is in game shape. I actually think after a few games deion could possibly be back into starters roll.

This is a funny thread. There's no way Deion will come out of retirement. He just hadn't heard his name in a while and needed to stir things up. He won't play for the Chargers, so just bag the idea.
