I havent been following up on the Pats this year. What does it look like for Marqueis Hill, from LSU? Is he doing good?
He's been having a solid camp and all the coaches like him but he's stuck behind Ty Warren and Richard Seymore as a back up D-end but should see some situatonal time....Alot of people think he is the next Seymore and that Ty Warren is just holding his spot...I hope so cus he certainly has that frame like seymore 6'6 300+ got to love that in an end for the 3-4.
I agree Davey has great raw skills but his lack of legit NFL experience showed in the first preseason game though he did make some nice plays he didn't do anything to solidify the back-up job. I just hope we don't need to worry about that being exposed...because I doubt we'd have another brady/bledsoe saga like in 2001 it'd be more like wow our offense sucks now. I hope Jim Miller can get healthy sometime because I think he is good back up QB to have in our short passing game because...thats all he is good at is the underneath stuff. Though I'm still holding out hope that davey can show more improvement as camp comes to a close and can earn that back up spot so we can deal him before the upcoming draft.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bleedblk&gld)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah yall are pretty good at the D-line.</div> Ya I'd say were better than pretty good. Like top 5 in our sleep. If seymore was aloud to penetrate the line instead of holding his gap he would have 12-15 sacks easy each of the last two seasons. And the decision not to move up and get the overrated Dewayne Robertson and Jonathan sullivan (since we created that hype anyway) and instead trade out of the first round with one of our first round picks while still getting Warren (who was better than both sullivan and robertson last season) and then Wilfork this season with baltimores first we received the year before was masterful IMO. We could have traded up and just got sullivan or robertson....but instead we get both Warren and Wilfork. Sorry but that was a A+ move by Pioli and Belichick IMO and just another example of why They is the best in business right now.
Wilfork is a player. Our D-line is sick, the potential pass rush we have, plus the run support is great. It seems like we have to much. The best thing is that we are young. Seymour is 24ish, Wilfork is 22ish(rookie) Ty Warren is 24, Jarvis Green who I like is 25. Once Traylor retires, Wilfork will fit right into the best d-line in the league.
