<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Let's hear it for the Magic. They did it! They set the franchise record for futility Friday night with their 18th consecutive loss. Great job. Now, let's take it to the next level. Let's go after the NBA record -- 23 in a row. And let's not stop there. Let's go after the Tampa Bay Bucs' 26-game losing streak and then Prairie View's 80-game losing streak. Don't look ahead, guys. Take 'em one loss at a time. You can do it, Magic. We believe. . . .</div> Orlando Sentinel Things really can't get worse for the Magic. Theres many reasons to this streak. <ul>Pat Garrity. He opens the floor and knocks down the 3 when McGrady dishes to him. He'll be out for the entire season due to an injury he reaggravated.
<ul>Too many Offseason Changes. There is now 8 new players on the Magic's roster. (Keith Bogans, Reece Gaines, Donnell Harvey, Juwan Howard, Tyronn Lue, Zaza Pachulia, Rod Strickland, and Shammond Williams) They made too many changes, too quickly. Juwan Howard has been cancer to Drew Gooden down low, and their top draft pick Reece Gaines has not produced.
<ul>Youth. With 3 rookies on the roster they are young and inexperienced.
<ul>Lack of Engery. The Magic are very passive on defense and let players get easy layups. They also turn the ball over which leads to easy baskets for the opponents.
So, the Magic just need to drop 5 more games and they will offically make NBA history!
the only chance they win in teh next week is agains the wizards, but the wizards are also do for a win soon..but the wizards always give up wins to teams that need them...last year to memphis, this year to cleveland...how bout the magic
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ObieCent:</div><div class="quote_post">Trade Howard! The Magic have sucked since he came.</div>
What's so funny about that? Are you saying that we couldn't trade Howard? That's what we will have to do. December 15th might be a day full with trades. Hopefully the Magic do one.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post"></div> Notice Howard has been on terrible teams. He is a cancer everywhere he goes(except in Denver, he was the only thing they had)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ObieCent:</div><div class="quote_post">Notice Howard has been on terrible teams.</div> Dallas Mavs?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trail_Blazer76:</div><div class="quote_post">Dallas Mavs?</div> The Wizards, the Nuggets, and now the Magic. Ooh 1 good team. And on the Magic he has t-mac so he doesnt have to carry the team, and on the wizards, he had C-webb. he's a team cancer
I wouldn't call him a cancer really, but your 2 examples (the Wiz and Magic), both those teams have someone younger and better than him at his normal PF position. I thought even at the beginning of the year, that Gooden would have a bigger impact than Howard, so I think that. For the Wizards, he had C-Webb, who is a much better PF than him. In Denver he was the best PF. So, he isn't really a cancer, because he's a class act, but he is just proving a road block in the way of young guys reaching their peak. C Webb, was good, but wasn't considered an elite player when Howard was on his team. Howard will be effective player on a team, who doesn't have a good PF.
Chris Webber is not much younger than Juwan, so he wasnt a road block for webber. and Juwan better not get traded because he is the second leading scorer on the team(and rebounder). It's not Juwan's fault the Magic are having a bad year. So will people just get off his back. He had a bad start to the season, but hes been good ever since then.
