<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Gonzaga 82, Maryland 68 WASHINGTON (AP) -- Blake Stepp hit one shot from the outside, then another. And another. At that point, Gonzaga's senior guard figured he just had to keep shooting. Stepp scored 27 points, and Adam Morrison keyed a second-half surge that carried the 17th-ranked Bulldogs past cold-shooting Maryland 82-68 Saturday. Stepp went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc, including 5-for-7 in the decisive second half. "A few start falling you start looking for your shot," he said. "All of them start falling and you definitely look for your shot." Stepp did more than just shoot -- he also finished with 11 assists. But he was most lethal from long range, making a majority of the Bulldogs' 13 3-pointers, which served to offset their season-high 24 turnovers.</div> Link This game was crucial for Gonzaga who recently lost to St.Josephs'. It's important for them to win every game to keep their "contender" status. Maryland lost, but I wouldn't be too sad if I were a Terps fan. If anything, Maryland will move up in the rankings after beating Wisconsin. For this game they were most likely fatigued from playing the Badgers.
I'm not surprised the Terps lost, I'm just happy they came up with a win over Wisonsin. Blake Stepp had a huge game from beyond the arc. Nik Caner-Medley had 16 points and 4 boards I think for the Terps, and was the only "stand out" on the Terps side.
