<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Normally when Melo has a poor shooting game he makes up for it by getting rebounds and assists. Many times when he scores big he doesn't get many rebounds. He is a good rebounder that is a fact...If you look at boxscores you make a judgement about his game but unless you watch the games you have no idea what he brings to the Nuggets team.</div>

Yea, that's another thing, I have just been looking at box scores from Carmelo, but lately I have been watching a lot of Nuggets games, this kid is an amazing scorer, but LeBron is a better overall player, from what I've seen so far.

Grant Hill/Jason Kidd all over again. Question is, can players like Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade put themselves in this race? They sure have some amazing ability, but to play at the level of LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony is just too much to ask really, these kids are very special and will dominate this league in the future, there is no doubt in my mind about that.

This draft class can be right up there with 1984, or dare I say it, stand a chance of being better? Maybe.

MJ, Chuck, Dream....ok, so maybe not, lol.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post">not true...bosh was comming off the bench in the beginning and delegated to less minutes. melo and bron have been starting since the beginning. with more minutes, bosh has been putting together great games, and if hed been starting since day 1, hed be up there stats wise</div>

I wanted to say that LeBron and Carmelo have scored a lot since de beginning of the season, .and Bosh now has 11 points and 6 rebounds, more or less.

Another kid making an impact is Luke Ridnour. He won't go close to being in contention to rookie of the year, but he is showing that he's capable of ebing a player in this league, especially when he builds up his body a bit.

all of the rookies mentioned are in the low-mid 30 minutes per game average.. except lebron is playing 40 minutes a game... thats too much

Last 2 games he has played around 30.

Cavs need a veteran point guard, so that way during the game Bron can spend more time in a small forward scoring role, playing point guard at this level every night is tough for a played that never played point before. Though the numbers are there, they still need a vet leader to calm this team down lait so they can execute.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting FalconFan:</div><div class="quote_post">If we didn't count the record I'd say LeBron is having a better season just because there's NO excuse for Bron to rebound more the Melo, but Melo's winning games so right now it's his ROY award. I do want LeBron to win it though.</div>

No reason? It's not just the fact that he has better rebounders, but big point guards often are left defensive rebounds if there is no offensive rebounding pressure, so that they can directly take the ball upcourt, so i'd say Bron often has MORE opportunities to rebound. And Bron is the same size as Melo, so there is nothing that should make Melo a far better rebounder than Bron.

Melo is ROY so far, not way above the others(read: Lebron), but above nonetheless. I think Bosh and Wade are running 3-4 so far. Bosh doesn't have that many less minutes per game than Melo, look at the statistics. I think its five minutes less, but then you could make that argument FOR melo, since he's playing five minutes less per game than Lebron.

I'd say TJ ford is right behind them, maybe not statistically, but he's leading a bucks team which few expected to win to victories. Udonis and Jarvis are 6 and 7, and then Francisco Elson is 8th best among rookies. I'd say Hinrich is playing better than before, but still only 9th or 10th among all rookies in terms of his whole season.

Co-Rookies people, I think we have went too far on the who is better debate.

Bron is still at 16, 7, and 6, after 2 off games while playing the toughest position for a rookie to play.

Like I have said before, Grant Hill/Jason Kidd all over again, and I don't remember people going neck and neck before when they were rookies.

These 2 kids are just too damn good, and miles above the rest.

The scary thing is that it's only their first year.

Thats why forget comparing these guys to one another, I want to see how this draft class will rank, I already put 1984 out there, because I believe it can easily be the 2nd best when it is all said and done.

yes captain genius, and dont you think that just maybe starting more games is going to equal more minutes. wtf do you call similar minutes?

lebron james - 800 total mins
    carmello anthony - 705
    chris bosh- 650

and thats because hes been logging about 40 mins a game in the past 5 games.

55 minutes over 20 games isnt significant. you posted stats about starts - means nothing. my point stands.

    Carmelo should be rebounding more?

    Huh?

Carmelo is ranked 39th in rebounds per game, at 6.9

    Of those who play SF:

    Kirilenko(7.2)
    Pierce(7.1)
    Harpring(8.5)
    Marion(8.2)

are ahead of him. If Carmelo needs to grab more rebounds, than so must the other 24 SF's around the league starting.
