Mavericks @ Clippers 12/10/03 PREVIEW at When: Wednesday, December 10, 2003 Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA Time: 9:30 ET TV: FSSW Records: Clippers 7-9, Seventh in Pacific.. 10th in West Dallas 13-7, Second in Midwest .. 4th in West Probable Starters Steve Nash vs Marko Jaric Michael Finley vs Quentin Richardson Dirk Nowitzki vs Corey Maggette Antoine Walker vs Elton Brand Danny Fortson vs Predrag Drobnjak Injury List Dallas Jon Stefansson IL OUT Tariq Abdul-Wahad IL OUT Clippers Glen Rice IL OUT Eddie House IL OUT Key Matchup Antione Walker/Elton Brand X-Factor Finley has been struggling at 3rd quarters, then turns hot these past few games. Better pay attention to him, or it could get ugly Keys to the Game Dallas - Your leading scorere is back! Feed Him the ball as much as Possible. He wants it bad. Feed him the rock as much as possible. Run the transistion game. Give Walker the ball in the post, and Dirk and Nash beyond the arc, Finley will take care of the midrange. Keep putting Jamison in if Dirk starts to feel uncomfortable, look to the bench alot, your key players might be tired from stepping up in Dirks absence. As always rebound and try to get to the free throw line. Los Angeles - Take advantage that Dirks ankle might still be a little tender. Make the Mavericks earn every point they get. They will want to run knowing thier leading scorer is back. Keep Walker guarded in the post. If it even seems like Finley or Walker is getting hot, buckle down on the D. Try to stop Dallas from running thier game or it might be a blow out. Predection: Dallas moves to 3-6 on the road, and wins 2 straight.
Will they get spanked by both LA teams? Though Dirk is back, I think the Clippers can force a tough game. They played the T-Wolves tough today, but Minny was able to win because of clutch shots and solid free throw shooting down the strecth, and I think Dallas will have to do the same thing. With Brand back, this won't be a easy game, but I'll take Dallas by 7. BTW: nice review
I agree with Purple, this should be a close game. The Clippers have been a very streaky team this year, inconsistent at times. They are definately not a push over team. Dirk could be the difference, his absence was missed. I give the Mavs the victory in this one, but not by much.

Looks like a good game.
WOW what a game.Glen Rice hit the game winner on the buzzer.Nash missed two FT's with 12 secs left that would of put them up by 3.Maggette and Brand both missed shots..Rice got the ball and put it in.Finley had 38 for the Mavs while Corey Maggette replied with 30 points 5 rebounds and 6 assists.Chris Wilcox had an impressive game off the bench.21 points 8 rebounds on 9/11 shooting.I like this kid.Could be a pretty good player for the future. Box Score
I was mad when I saw Nash miss those freethrows. Saw it on sportscenter my roomates looked at me like I was crazy.
Nash is usually reliable at the line...i wonder what happened...nice game for the clips, this has been said many times before, but this team is going to be good in 2-3 years
You don't often see a 89% free-throw shooter miss both in the late stages of games.More so with the Mavs who are considered a great FT shooting team.Just wasn't his night.
