Yao Ming, Deaf?

    I didn't know that either. It must be hard to communicate with him; no english and partially deaf.

    Hhhhmmm...I just heard this. But at least he can still hear. It would be funny to see him still defend after a whistle was blown.

    Very interesting, I did not know this about Yao. I do know that in a one on one setting he can speak and understand english fine. I think it is when there are a lot of people around and they are all screaming and yelling that his hearing goes significantly downward. This might have been a problem last year, however this year I think he has been able to better adapt to it. Either way, I don't think it is affecting his play on the court, which is always a good thing.

    Yeah I heard about this before too from watching tv games last season. It does not appear to effect him, so I don't believe it is that big a deal.
