No love for the Kings here at JBB? lol, I'm not a fan of them either, but just thought I'd add this news since the Kings forum is dead.

-- Brad Miller had his second career triple-double in his first game against his former team, and Vlade Divac helped rattle the Indiana Pacers down the stretch as the Sacramento Kings posted a 91-88 victory.

If only he can be consistent. But he's doing great helping the Kings get the W without C-Webb.

Btw, Vlade did some great acting jobs against Jermaine.

The Kings are my second favorite team behind the Warriors. I have been too busy trying to get the Warriors forum going. I'll be posting in here more now that I have more time on my hands.[IMG]

Brad Miller was a great addition to this Kings team. He will be great coming off the bench once Webber returns.

    You're being sarcastic, right? hahaha.

I loved the way he was bumping Jermaine during an inbound play. Jermaine was getting pissed off.

Vlade is such a smart player. He gets under so many players' skins that it really gets funny, unless its your team.

Brad has really come a long way. He's one of my favorite players, but i admit I remember booing him about five years ago. Before he was in Indy and even before Chicago, he was the backup for the Hornets behind Elden Campbell when I lived in Charlotte. He would come in and hustle, but his skill level wasn't very impressive. He seems to get so much better each year.

We'll see how good he is, when he has to guard Shaq for a 7 game series.

I remember that game in Chicago last yr, I believe before the trade to go to Indiana, and I guess Brad was being a little too aggressive on Shaq, and Shaq almost clocked Brad in the face! If Brad didn't back away, his face would've turned into a total diaster. All this Brad Miller hype. Giving him a 52 million dollar contract? Why not spend that cash on the people that really helped Sac-Town out?...like Pollard, Keon Clark, Turkeyglu, Jim Jackson, (the journeyman) Well I dislike Sacramento, I'm a Laker fan. Why do I care what the Maloofs do with their money?

Yes guarding Shaq and the refs is very tough to do indeed.

I'm not sure Sacramento could bench him if he keeps up this sort of form, he's close to being a top 5 big man in the league ATM. I think you may see Webber coming off the bench for a few to get back into the groove, a luxury that the Kings can afford with Miller's form. If not, I think Divac may be the man to come off the bench.

I know Adelman said that Divac would start and BMiller would come off the bench, and he may have said that even keeping in mind that Miller might play better. He may try bringing him off the bench with Jax for a 1-2 punch.

The funny thing about the Bulls-Lakers game of a few years is this: it wasn't Miller's fault. I was watching the game when it happened, and so you can imagine how many times they showed it on replay. Shaq in the open court, about to hurt the basket, when Miller and Charles Oakley did a one two thing to Shaq, sending him down hard. But it was Oakley who clothelined Shaq, not Brad. When Shaq recovered, the first person he saw was Brad, and chased him out of bounds, where he proceeded to rip off his jersey and pound it into oblivion.

They're spending that money on him because they knew they needed another big man. Pollard and Clark were not getting it done, they're nice role players, but that's it. Turkoglu (what is Turkeyglu?) is a nice player, but his numbers were down last year and he wasn't going anywhere in Sactown. Same for JJackson, last year a career low in ppg and minutes, so they probably didn't need him that much.

The Maloofs invested in Brad Miller to fill the gap left by Webber, and it pays out, just look at their 14-5 record. Can you imagine what happens if they add CWebb to the mix?

The Kings have a roster of experienced players, and they will get very far in the playoffs this year, and it could be that adding Miller was the final piece of the puzzle.
