Febraury 24, 1999 , the Toronto Raptors arrive at Market Square arena in Indiana, to face their powerfull local team ! Raptors coach at that time, Butch Carter, asked Vince Carter to spend an extra 20 minutes on Pregame shooting drills, and the early arrived crowd barely noticed him ! he recieved complete ignorance when he was announced in the starting lineUp, as a matter of fact, none of the Raptors recieved a reaction from the crowd except a little " Booing " for Charles Oakley couple of minutes remaining in the first quarter , and Vince with the ball in the left side of the floor, ready to takeoff, ready to turn the crowd's ignorance of him to a widly heared warning ! as he dribbles by Chris Mullin, the 14 year pro, and a former Dream teamer, who trys to step and cover him, Chris felt a bullet blew by as Carter drove the ball to the basket, jump stop, Mullin went up with his hand trying to stop the flight somehow ,as Carter extended in the air, Mullin didn't give up, but by the time he tried to stop Air Canada from completing the flight even by fouling, suddenly, Vince is a feet underneath the basket, and the ball is held two handedly infront of him. A couple of pacers tried to help out the helpless/hopless Chris Mullin, but they were no better ! .. Both Antonio davis and Dale davis were standing and watching in wonder, a sign of `Whoa ` was forming on their faces, now .. it's all about Vince , he pumps twice in the air, amazing ? , wait ! he brings the ball down, down, down, down under his knees, and all of a sudden, the ball is coming up, Vince right underneath the nylon net, brings the ball back up in a heartbeat, it seemed like the time stood still in the arena, except for one moving object wearing a purple jersey that had the number 15 on it's back, with his 42 Inch vertical leap, he reverse and flushes the ball down right through the cylinder ! " I just was ` Whoa ` " .. said Indiana's Antonio Davis ( who'd be a teammate of Carter and a current Chicago Bull ) as Chris Mullin walked by his coach Larry Bird, " We have to get help on him " his face seemed to say, and with no hisatation, Larry noded back " I've seen many good dunks in my life, but I've never ever seen an in-game dunk like this one " .. said Bill York, a pacers original game-night employee for 35 years ! all the players on the Raptors bench stood and were visibly amazed, including the used-to-be Vince's closest mate, Tracy Macgrady " Man, that was sick, Sick !! " .. said Tracy " I told him, he's gotta stop that, man. That's just nasty ! " .. added Vince's distant cousin It took only a couple of seconds, he didn't make any physical signs afterwards , showed no saved up rage, there's no need to, now, and only now, the world got their first loudly sounded warning of an era known as Vinsanity ! -Air Canada
Nice. I remember that game. It was sick...actually the only thing I remember from that game is that dunk. I literally fell of the floor...yes folks I fell off the floor.
Air Canada great story, i never watched the game, but seen the dunk (on comp). the way u wrote it is excellent, man i'm dreaming about it now. I swear ESPN people are stupid for ranking Carter 4th as best dunker ever, by far better than MJ yes MJ, Drexler, Erving or anyone, i just wanna scream and ask people why they hate Carter.

that was a sick dunk, maybe vinces sickest in an nba game, but that description above is really overdramatic and exagerrated. Man, you should be a news reporter
