    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">17-6-6... isn't all star performence.</div>

And I suppose for it to be an "all-star performance" he has to average 52 poinrs 20 rebounds along with 13 assists? Seriously people think just because you can ONLY score thats makes you a complete all-star.Getting 6 rebounds along with 6 assists a game is one of the hardest things to do as a basketball player.Nevermind scoring 16/17 a game along with it.

Infact I got it wrong, Lebron is averaging 17 points nearly 7 rebounds and 6 assists. If anyone thinks those aren't all-star stats then I suggest you see a doctor.

Lebron and Tmac dont deserve the all star game this year as of now, I think there team has like 5 wins total. ( i know king james will cry and make some excuse) People like Ron artest Paul Pierce Chauncy or rip, deserve to start over these 2)

I'm sick of all the debate. If the general public is dumb enough to have ever voted Vince Carter in then they are dumb enough to vote LeBron James in(whether or not he deserves it is irrelevant). Here is how it will go -

    <font color="Blue">*Fan Vote</font>
    <font color="Red">*Coach Vote</font>

    East:
    G - <font color="Blue">LeBron James</font>/<font color="Red">Jason Kidd</font>/<font color="Red">Baron Davis</font>
    G - <font color="Blue">Allen Iverson</font>/<font color="Red">Tracy McGrady</font>
    F - <font color="Blue">Vince Carter</font>/<font color="Red">Paul Pierce</font>/<font color="Red">Ron Artest</font>
    F - <font color="Blue">Jermaine O'Neal</font>/<font color="Red">Shareef Abdur-Rahim</font>
    C - <font color="Blue">Ben Wallace</font>/<font color="Red">Zyndrunas Ilgauskas</font>

    West:
    G - <font color="Blue">Gary Payton</font>/<font color="Red">Stephon Marbury</font>/<font color="Red">Steve Francis</font>
    G - <font color="Blue">Kobe Bryant</font>/<font color="Red">Ronald Murray</font>
    F - <font color="Blue">Kevin Garnett</font>/<font color="Red">Predrag Stojakovic</font>
    F - <font color="Blue">Tim Duncan</font>/<font color="Red">Dirk Nowitzki</font>/<font color="Red">Zach Randolph</font>
    C - <font color="Blue">Yao Ming</font>/<font color="Red">Shaquille O'Neal</font>

As far as I am concerned, this is how the East should look like

    C Wallace/Ilgauskis
    PF O'Neal/Abur-Rahim
    SF Carter/Pierce/Mashburn
    SG Iverson/McGrady
    PG Kidd/Davis/James

James will obviously make the game, he doesn't deserve to, Pierce, Artest, Redd, Tmac, AI, Kidd, and Baron Davis all deserve to be on the team over him, but they won't. He may be the most famous player in the eastern Conference. So far I like Wave's lineup the best, I like the additoion of Zach Randolph and Murry in the West.

There is a huge difference in who will be names the starters for the 2004 All-Star game and who deserves to be the starters for the game.

Baron Davis deserves to be the captain of the East All-Stars however he will most likely not be a starter. Lebron James and Tracy McGrady dont deserve to be considered for starters but the odds are that both of them will turn out to be starters.

As King James said, the All-Star game is a popularity contest, nothing more then that, and nothing less.

</div>I doubt that. Odds are that Iverson has the biggest fan following in the NBA, but Tracy should make the All-Star Game too as a backup.

Yeah I am going with Wave on this one. T-mac fans have dropped extremely ever since this season. Everyone is turning on him (which is good  )
so I really think AI will start over T-mac. And that isnt just because Im an Allen fan, but 1-14 is unexcusible for T-mac's team. Well no suprise really since Grant is still injured, their PG is still young (Lue) Howard hasnt been doing much, and I dont know the 411 on Gooden's gameplay. Kind of a unorganized team to me right now.

    Do you ever read anything?

Interesting fact, the Cavs are 3rd in the NBA in road attendance, behind the Lakers and the 76ers.

The starters in the All Star game is deemed who you want to see play... not who deserves to be there. Period. Do not agure this because it is the truth.

Whoever deserves to be there and isnt starting will be voted on by the coaches.

    P friggin S ... Garnett better start.

Garnett AND Duncan better start! No doubt.

I would also like to see Yao start. He is becoming consistent because Houston figured out how to use him. They understand that he can be a taller Dream (I did not say better, yet - just taller).

Yes for a rookie it is

But your gonna tell me 16-7-7 are better numbers than what the other players are puttin up?

And look at the Cavs record, that 16-7-6 is gettin them nowhere but down.

LeBron, even as spectacular as a player he is, cannot carry an NBA team at this age.

I don't think LeBron should be an all-star. He's putting up solid numbers, but on a terrible team. A guy like Elton Brand in the past had put up 20 and 10 and is penalized for playing on a bad team. Yes, i realize that Ilgauskas was an all-star last year but that's becasue the East needed big men in the game. There is a lot of depth at the guard/forward position in the East.

Also, a lot of guys are putting up good numbers for the Cavs. Ricky Davis has similar numbers to James, and Boozer is averaing a double-double. So it isn't all about the numbers. Or else, 3 cavs would be potiential allstars!!?

Everyone has given LeBron everything, lets allow him to earn some for himself. He'll make the all-star team next year and probably for the next 15 years.

btw, J-Rich 3-peats in the dunk contest, unless Vince decides to join.
