I don't think Lebron shoud be an ALL-STAR this year, but he will be one by fans voting.

I think james will take Iverson's spot on the all star team.

Doubt it. If Iverson starts this year, it wont be PG. It will be T-macs spot which T-mac does not deserve. Here is how it should look

    PG James
    SG Iverson
    C Wallace
    PF O'Neal
    SF Carter

The Cavs have been more consistent than a lot of teams. The problem is 4th quarter execution and freethrows. I pity you guys that the Cleveland has no talent, because you have obviously not paid attention to the games. Detroit, Indiana, Denver, Miami, Boston, New Orleans, Phoenix, Sacramento - all of those games were lost in the final minutes of the game. The Cavs have only been blew out a few times as well. Being the youngest team in the league this is what fans have to deal with, when you are young you don't execute as well when the game is on the line as good as an older team would.

Like I stated, there is a reason why the Cavs are the 3rd best team in road attendance, and that won't change when it comes to the All-Star game. Don't you guys get it? Just like purehoops said, throw out that deserving stuff because the game is an exhibition, deal with it. It means nothing anymore. I still don't think this compares at all to the Yao Ming situation out West, because we all know Shaq should be the starter every year, but too bad he will never start the game ever again.

Richardson has one more shot at the dunk contest, but by the current rules Vince Carter would not be allowed (3 year rule)

It doesent matter if he deserves it, but he will still get it. Just like vince did last season. It's sad, but very true.

Iverson and Lebron will start this year, they are the two most popular guards in the East.

I hate that 3 year rule. A great dunk contest of 4 players would be (IMO)

    V. Carter
    L. James
    J. Richardson
    D. Mason

Wow, that rule is new to me...when was it adopted and for what reasons? Why don't they make the 3-point contest like that...what a peculiar rule...

I believe it was last season. They did not put it in to keep the older guys out, they put it in to cover it up because the older players like Vince don't want to be in it because they don't just want to be known as dunkers.

    So it's a cover up.

The 3 point contest has been the better part of All-Star Saturday, that event should be held last.

That is how players are, they don't like the dunk contest anymore. Vince, Kobe, T-Mac all only did it one time. That is all Bron would probably do too.

As a fan it sucks, Kobe, Vince, T-Mac, J-Rich, Mason, Bron...the dunk contests should be the highlight of All-Star weekend, but on the otehr hand I see where they are coming from as well.

Not to bag on Amare's dunking game, but last year it did seem a little strange to have it. He has great dunking ability but still struggled. He didnt have the rythm or talent to be creative and shock the crowd with an amazing dunk. He messed up on the under the legs twice and finaly got it but still it did not catch my attention. Just because he is young, I dont think he should have been selected. Did anyone else like him being in it last year?

I didn't get to see any of the All Star Saturday festivities at all this year, or all the years previous to this coming year when I will get to see them. Damn not having cable. But, yea, about the 3 year rule, I actually like it. If it wasn't for it, we would be seeing the same people come and do it year in and year out. And, personally, I think I'd want to see someone new. I mean, it is nice to have great dunkers like Vince or Desmond in there, but, it'll also be nice to see what else the league has to offer from it's young players.

Not necessarly. To tell you the truth, I think the players who would do it like 2 or maybe even 3 years would be curtious enough to other guys to try out. Plus theyd recognize the feelings of the fans. For ex: "Vince in for the 6th time! Damn when will he give up!" They know when their time is up. I guess the 3 yr is ok, but still Id like to give some older guys a shot. (Id like to see The Franchise in it again)

Amare is a game dunker, much like Kobe Bryant.

Put some bodies under the basket and Amare would win hands down.

Its not game-situation I was talking about. Im just saying I dont think hes creative or "fancy" compared to the other competetors. Jrich always has some type of dunk that will drop the jaws of the crowd. Amare, great dunker and great jump for a big guy, still stays with the original.
