    It's not a rule, it's a cover up.

If Vince and Tracy would actually tell David Stern (NBA's Commissioner for your youngin's) "hey, we want back in the dunk contest and will put a few years in" he would lift that rule, but he had to do something to not make it look as bad because they don't want to participate.

I kinda have a habit of not watching the Rookie/Sophomore challenge, but looking at the lineups, it should be an excellent game to watch.

Do the sophmores not have a good point guard?

    Ford vs Dixon? lol
    Wade vs Prince or Dunleavy
    Carmelo vs Prince or Dunleavy
    Bosh vs Amare
    Kaman vs Nene

I think the Rookies can win.

Lebron and Yao will be allstars.

I always watch the Rookie/Sophmore, real fun, they do a lot more fooling around than the real All Star game. I would be suprised if they took Yao down to sophmores considering that he did start in the AS game last year.

Doesn't anyone think Ron Artest deserves making the all-star game considering the year he's having? Yet i doubt he will considering it's a popularity contest.

I really thought Laker fans would go to any computer they could find, and vote for the Big 4 to go in as starters. I know Malone won't get many votes because of the young talent at the power forward position, but Gary Payton? His name is nowhere to be seen.

Payton wasn't even a starter last season. He is getting older less people want to see him start ahead of more exciting players like Francis and Marbury.Good to see big Ben ahead of players like Kobe while being 2nd overall [IMG]

Yeah I know Payton wasn't a starter last season, but if people sit and look at the Lakers record of 18-3, one of the people that's making it happen is Payton. I did check the standings, and he's third in the Western Conference guard position, so that's a good start. I'm also looking at the NBA.com All-Star results so far, and I'm very surprised on how Amare Stoudmire is in last place for West forwards, and the person that's above him is Antoine Walker???? Manu Ginobili over Marbury? Very shocking.

Payton is very good but don't give him too much credit. You also can't look at records when deciding all-stars.GP has Kobe,Shaq and Malone so he wasn't the sole reason for the fast start.Walker is higher than Amare because Tonie is playing much better basketball.Amare is also injuried right now and will be for 3 more weeks.
