NETS@GRIZZLIES TIME:Dec.12-7:00pm ARENA:The Pyramid,Memphis RECORDS:NETS(11-11) Grizzlies(12-10) NETS OUTLOOK GOING IN:The Nets outlook goiing into tonight's game continues to be somewhat positive. The Nets Continued their winning ways last night with a 99-95 victory over the Magic. But they may have lost their starting center for tonight's game. Jason Collins left the game in the first quarter. And may not be available for tonight's matchup. The Nets look to shake off minor injury problems. And add another victory to their current 4-game win streak. And get revenge for a heartbreaking lose they suffer to the Grizz last week. THE GRIZZLIES OUTLOOK GOING IN :The Grizzlies outlook going into tonight's game isnt as positive as the Nets. The Grizzlies had thier 6-game win streak(that included a 96-93 victory over the Nets) snapped last night at the hands of the Heat(score:91-88). But the season outlook for the Grizz has been positive. They are one of those young, surprising midwest teams that the league is talking about. The Grizz look to sweep the both games with a victory over the Nets tonight. PROJECTED STARTING LINEUP PG:EARL WATSON(16pts last night) vs KIDD(8pts,15ast) SG:MIKE MILLER(8pts last night) Vs K.KITTLES(22pts,4-5 in 3pters) SF:JAMES POSEY(19pts last night) vs R.JeFFERSON(18pts last night PFAU GASOL(10 pts last night) vs K-MART(16pts,15rebs last night) C:LORENZEN WRIGHT(10pts last night) vs J.COLLINS(left game early) KEY GRIZZLIES BENCH PLAYER STROMILE SWIFT(10pts last game)- I look for Stromile to have a big game against the Nets front line. Especially if J.C. is unavailable, the Nets really lack size inside. GRIZZLIES PLAYER TO WATCH BONZI WELLS-BONZI has given the Grizz a bearth of fresh air. The Grizzlies are 6-1 since trading for Wells. Wells is capable of going for big #ers off the bench. NETS KEY BENCH PLAYER Aaron Williams- once again A WILL has to be my key bench player. He may even be a key starter if J.C doesnt play. Williams made me look good last night giving the Nets solid play off the Bench(11pts & 7rebs), but he will need to keep his play at the same level or better tonight against the young, athletic Grizzlies frontline. NETS PLAYER TO WATCH RODNEY RODGERS- Rodgers was in the dog house with B.Scott because of his consistent injuries due to being out of shape & his lack of effert on the basketball court. But with J.C. leaving the game early Scott was forced to play Rodney increased minutes(22 Mins. played last night). Scott will again have to play Rodgers major minutes due to J.C's health & for the simple fact the Nets are playing back to back games & will need to go deeper in the bench. Rodney needs to take this opportunity to get back in the long term rotation. Rodney is a former six man of the year. And is capable of better out put than he has showed so far. NETS KEYS TO THE GAME DEFENSE 1)K-MART MUST STAY OUT OF FOUL TROUBLE- K-mart played an excellent overall game last night but he picked up alot of fouls battling with Gooden & Howard of the Magic. K-Mart had to sit out a 3 minute stretch of the middle of the 4qter of that close game. The Nets were able to dodge that bullet & pick up the win.but K-mart will be battling the same type of forwards as Howard & Gooden(Swift & wright) tonight. And the Nets need him to not pick up cheap fouls. They need K_MART on the floor inthe 4th as much as possible. 2)NETS MUST TEAM REBOUND The Nets did a good job of team rebouding last time these two teams met. They out rebounded the Grizzlies 41 to 33. The Nets needed to do the same again. Last night the Nets gave up double digit rebounding to Gooden. Gooden was extremely active in the game & on the boards. The Nets want to prevent Wright or Swift from doing the same. So they must take a team rebounding approach. The guards must help out on the boards. Kidd will need one of those double digit reboundig games he is capable of. Kittles & Jefferson have to do their part as well. This becomes an even bigger key if Jason Collins doesnt play or is limited. 3) STOP GUARDS FROM GETTING IN THE LANE- The best way to cotrol the defensive backcourt is to deny guards from getting in the lane. J.Kidd is a great defensive player but sometimes he has a tendancy to let small guards get in the lane to much. Allowing Earl Watson to get in the lane will nit only allow the Grizz easy shot opportunities, it will also allow the Grizz to control the backboards. Mike Miller also likes to get in the lane using alot of back cuts. Kittles has to watch for this. NETS OFFENSIVE KEYS TO THE GAME 1) KEEP IT UP KERRY - Kerry kittles has been playing extremely well during the Nets win streak. He scored 22pts last night going 4 for 5 from the point land. He also hit 2 big three point shots in the 4th. Kerry needs to continue this aggressive style of play. If we lose the points in the paint battle to the Grizzles frontline of Gasol, Wright, & Swift, Kittles perimeter shot can make up for that. 2) GIVE K-MART SOME LOW POST SCORING HELP- The Nets will need Aaron Williams to help K-Mart with the low post scoring load. K-mart wont be able to out score the Grizzlies frontline by himself. Even if Jason Collins plays he wont overwelm the Grizzlies with his scoring. So A.Will, the Nets best low post scorer/player off the bench must produce another good game like he did last night. Rodgers also needs to get off the perimeter & use his size to get the Nets some low post baskets. 3)ENTIRE BENCH MUST PRODUCE Tonight is a second of a back to back. We will need to go deep in the bench early, to give our starters some rest so they will be fresh for the fourth. A guy like Harris will have to produce baskets while Robert Pack will have to give us solid minutes at the point so we can rest kid early. Rodgers & Williams of course must produce inside. But a guy like Scalabrine may be a huge energy factor in a game like this. Teams sometimes suffer from lack of energy in the second game of a back to back. Well SCALI(thats what I call him) hustle play could pick up the energy of the whole team if it is down. SIDE NOTE: Tonight side note has to go to my man RJ. He must stay aggresive all game long like he did last night. His shots wasnt falling in the first half but he stayed aggressive all game long. He drove the ball to the basket & drew alot of fouls & attention. His aggresive play was part of the reason why the Nets won. Thats the way he needs to play every game of the season. RJ usually starts to shy away win his shot isnt falling or he cant score. but he didnt do that last night. Perimeter players that are considered to be special like a kobe dont stop be aggresive when their shot isnt falling. They keep attacking & thats what makes them special. RJ is trying to become that type of special player. And his appraoch to last nights game is how he is going to get there. GRIZZLIES KEYS TO THE GAME-let me see, OH THATS RIGHT I DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY PREDICTION- This might be the hardest of the Nets games so far during this streak. A weak inside post & playing a high energy team on a back to back. But I think the Nets are going to pull out aclose game. They lost a close one to this team the last time they played I dont see K-Mart & J.Kidd letting it happen 2 times in a row.
At least it's a preview, but an eye eyesore, and very biased, few typos as well. Cover the game from both perspectives. What would I expect from a guy that has a screwed up sig? Please fix that InNetsWeTrust, I would like to see you step up and see what you can do, or maybe you guys can work together. I would talk offline about it, together maybe you can do a good job. How am I downgrading you? I admire you for trying, good work.
This is not directed to king james at all. I would like some non- personal biased feedback from other people. Please tell me whats wong with my preview of the Nets game. When you turn on a pregame show for your favorite team, the commentators tell you the strenght & weakness of the oposing team. And how your team should attack those strenght & weakness. They do not tell you how a team should attack your team. TNT or Espn will give you both sides of a Nets/Grizzlies game. but Yes(the Nets channel) sports is going to give you the side that benefit the Nets. The Nets Forum is Justbball.com version of Yes. Some one please correct me if Iam wrong.
A) It needs a better layout. Work in easier to read paragraphs, get to the point and maybe add a few pictures, colours etc. It's ok to be pro-Nets, but make sure you don't shut the other team out of the preview. C) Go over your preview before posting - make sure it's free of typos, mistakes with coding etc. They're little things, but they can bring the preview down overall. But good work, it's nice to see more people wanting to contribute to team forums on JBB
Close one all right... The Nets at 11-12 after this terrible embarrassing loss, have an excuse to fire Scott.
Hahaha. Sorry. It's just that everytime I'm supposed to make a preview, Henacy has already done it. I just wanted to give him a chance. Man, what an embarrassing loss.

If he wants to make a preview, he is supposed to ask you first (though I don't believe you were going to make one anyway) I am sure he would not mind helping you out though, like I said.
Look, we want the NJ forums to be active. Now someone else (besides me) is starting threads/ making previews. Isn't that what we want? He beat me to a couple of previews and aside from this one, he was doing a good job and I messaged him about it asking him to stay active in the forums.
