Just to let you know you have Lakers @ Nuggets as the thread title so be sure to change that so members won't get confused. This should be an interesting matchup as the new and improved Denver Nuggets take on the Lakers. For your key bench players, I feel Kareem Rush won't get the job done. I'm looking at Byron Russell as the key bench player. In that Dallas game, he hit clutch 3 pointers, and it seems to me Byron is getting his stroke back. Yeah, Kareem hit shots, but he doesn't do that on a consistent basis. Not only will Carmelo Anthony give the Lakers a problem, Voshon Lenard will be a problem as well. He's a good perimeter shooter, and of course the Lakers have problems guarding that perimeter. (The Dallas game for example) I also believe Denver will foul Shaq at a continuous pace. To allow him to try and hit FT's. And of course with his line drive shots, and no ball rotation, they'll just be BRICKS. This game will go down to the wire, with the Lakers winning by 5. Lakers 100-95
We have till Firday until this one jumps off, Lakers should have plenty of rest, and hopefully we can battle back from 2 straight losses. I have to go with everything Laker_Fever pretty much said, Lenard is going to kill us on the perimeter if it's his night, Carmelo will be a problem like he listed, and I also look for the Nuggets to foul Shaq all game. Role players for both teams will be key for this game, if we excecute in clutch situations, get the transition going early, than I think we can win this, but I have a feeling this will be a very close game. I will also take the Lake Show by 5. And is it me, or can you also see Shaq wanting to kill Chris Anderson after all the hacking he will be doing Friday? ^I'm going to call it now, so you guys can quote me.
This is the worst timing for the Nuggets to be facing the Lakers. The Lakers will look to get back on track against the Nuggets, after getting beat back to back. This will be the game Kobe makes a statement and throws his name into the MVP hat. He has always had monster games against the Nuggets, and I don't see anyone on Denver's roster that can keep up with him. The Nuggets win with their speed and ability to cause chaos on the court. Unfortunately, the Lakers have, too many veterans who can control tempo. The Lakers will limit the Nuggets ability to run, by pounding inside for easy baskets, and being able to set up their defense. Shaq should be able to have a field day inside with Marcus Camby, Chris Anderson, and Elson. This game should be over with for the Lakers by the start of the 4th quarter. I predict Lakers by 14.
This should shape up to be a good game. I think that the Lakers will pull it out though. Prediction: Lakers 94 Nuggets 88
New Update: Kobe has said that he is doubtful for the game on Friday because of a court date, once i find an article, i will post it
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VAs Finest:</div><div class="quote_post">New Update: Kobe has said that he is doubtful for the game on Friday because of a court date, once i find an article, i will post it</div> Oh great....more distractions. But I thought the next court date would be on January 23rd?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VAs Finest:</div><div class="quote_post">well he said that he has a court date, maybe he just doesnt want to play in denver</div> You know that could be the reason. Could you imagine the reaction if Kobe does travel to Colorado? Oh my gosh.
I can just imagine the signs when the Lakers play at Denver "Keep your daughters close to your sight" "All 19 year old girls stay home" "What you going do when Kobe runs wild on your teen" "Do you know where your daughter is?" Although this game is in L.A so It shouldn't matter.
lol i know i messed up the thread title, i need to change it, it keeps confusing me...but when he does go to Denver..that is going to be ugly, but i think that is when he si going to play his best game to the season

I don't expect these signs to be up JUST cuz they are playin Denver. When it IS in Denver, then somethin is gonna happen... IMO.

Laker fever stated that it was a mistake. But back on topic, I'm glad you brought that up VA, I think that is probably the reason he's not playing, that is going to hurt us bad.
There,I edited the subject line so hopfully no one else will get confused about where this game is at.

This game should be one of the highlights of the week. The Nuggets are such an exciting team to watch this season, led by Carmelo Anthony and new additions Andre Miller and Earl Boykins and Marcus Camby. They have already won five road games compared with four all of last season and an average of 6.7 the past five seasons. But the Lakers will be rested from five days off and angry after a two-loss weekend. Look out below. Lakers take it with 100+ points.
