So far our FO looks to be smart again, when most fans called for re-signing of Troy Vincent or BT and Emmons, it looks like Banner and Reid did the right thing by letting them go. Bobby Taylor-So far hurt his foot, and is about to lose his starting spot to Ken Lucas so i hear. could never make a tackle anyway, Troy Vincent-He was getting older, although hell be a starter in buffalo, i like Lito better at this point in their careers. besides Lito has had good camp. Carlos Emmons-a player that never got credit, but he got it this year and took advantage of it by talking like he was better than he was. His leg is stillbothering him, and just started practicing. Maybe it wasa better going with a younger Dhani Jones, but Dhani sprained his ankle and is out for Fri. John Welbourn-From what I hear, Shawn Andrews is having a amazing camp, hes the real deal and some coaches have said they cant believe he wasnt regarded as one of the top tackles in the draft. O yea did i mention he came into the draft as T and was switched to a G as a rookie. thats impressive.
Why is going from Tackle to Guard impressive? Any good tackle in the NFL should be able to make that transition. Its a step backwards basicly. basicly any tackle that doesn't cut it makes that transition and if a guard can't cut it you don't see him move to tackle? That would be insane. Other than that you probably right about taylor and emmons though if emmons can get healthy I think he can still be very good. though i think Vincent still had a few years left in him.
its the versatility that they love in him, i think hes playin LG to, so thats impressive also but im not sure.
versatility is one thing I just disagree that going from tackle to gaurd is either difficult or impressive because it happens all the time.
