Don't let Reggie Miller get open looks from deep. Attack the basket. Indiana - Double team LeBron James so that he can not create for himself or his teammates. Don't allow Ilgauskas to get good inside post position. Attack the basket. The Sandman's Take Cavs will be shorthanded after this trade, I expect a great game from LeBron James, but with the Pacers coming off that terrible loss to the Bulls, they will be hungry and win this by close to double figures. Sorry people, did not have enough time! Enjoy the game. <font size="1">Please visit NBA.com</font>
Nice preview for a quick one..but if streaks go Indy's way tonight, they wont lose..they are the only team so far this year who hasnt lost 2 in a row..should be a good game..but with the Cavs now being shorthanded, i dont think they win this one...Indiana 89-77 James- 16pts 8-20 from the field 7 boards 9 assists O'Neal- 22pts, 11 boards
Pacers up 44/49 at the half. James and Newble had 10 points a piece. The Pacers were led by Ron Artest who had 11. ---------- Pacers up 70/66 after 3 LeBron James leads all scorers with 22 points, has 4 rebounds and 2 assists as well. ---------- Pacers win 95/85 Was closer than the score, Cavs spent the last 30 sec hoisting 3 pointers while the Pacers sank freethrows. James had 27, 4, and 6 on 10/16 shooting and 7/8 freethrows. O'neal had 24, 10, and 6 (had a handful of blocks as well) Artest finished with 16, 4, and 7. Boozer, Z, Miles, Bremer, Kapono did not give James any help. James also set an NBA record for points scored in consecutive games by an 18 year old (60+) ----------
I know I'm late but great preview Sandman. I think the Cavs will finish this game with a W. Lebrons playing well as well as the rest of the Cavs. Cavs by 5

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sandman:</div><div class="quote_post">Where have you been? Game ended 5 minutes ago.</div> In lala land
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TimFlem:</div><div class="quote_post">In lala land</div> All righty then Other notes on this game... Cavs lost their 34th straight road game (2nd all time) Pacers won their 1500th career game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sandman:</div><div class="quote_post"> James also set an NBA record for points scored in consecutive games by an 18 year old (60+) </div> I bet he's happy about that. Is he the only rookie to do this?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sandman:</div><div class="quote_post">After tonight, here are Bron's numbers... 18 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.29 steals</div> Not to good are they. Sorry about the post about Lebron amazingly I haven't had time to watch him play or check his stats.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TimFlem:</div><div class="quote_post">Not to good are they. Sorry about the post about Lebron amazingly I haven't had time to watch him play or check his stats.</div> That was not directed toward you! That was to everybody.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sandman:</div><div class="quote_post">After tonight, here are Bron's numbers... 18 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.29 steals</div> with a 6-18 (?) record... Lol i'm messin, but its really fustrating to see lebron do this well and the Cavs lose. LeBron didn't have Ricky Davis tonight, nor did he have his new teammate so it wasn't too much of a surprise at the L. He played great tho, and 44 minutes... he is gettin ALOT of playin time and shooting his freethrows great (7-8) now. Didn't get to see the game, but after seein the stats, J'neal had a solid game with 24 points-10 rebs-6 assists and 2 blocks.
Thats why the deal was made, to help us win games, which I really believe it will, out defensive numbers should get even better. I can't wait till Wagner and Diop are healthy, we need them back.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Cleveland Cavaliers made a big trade Monday in hopes of turning around their losing ways on the road. The new additions didn't arrive soon enough. Jermaine O'Neal had 24 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help the Indiana Pacers send LeBron James and the short-handed Cavaliers to their 34th consecutive road loss, 95-85 Monday night. "We were right in the game tonight," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "If we'd have had a little bit more firepower, we would have been right there." The Cavaliers dressed only nine players after completing a six-player trade with the Boston Celtics earlier in the day. Cleveland sent guard Ricky Davis, forwards Chris Mihm and Michael Stewart to the Celtics for forwards Eric Williams, Tony Battie and center Kedrick Brown. The swap also includes Cleveland giving the Celtics a second-round pick. "We have to get guys in that know how to win," Silas said. "Guys that have been there before and understand." The Cavs may have had a short bench against Indiana, but they still had James, and that was almost enough. The top pick in the NBA draft, who has been more aggressive offensively since having a heart-to-heart with Silas after a loss to Detroit last week, carried the Cavs again on Monday. James had 27 points, six assists, three steals and three blocks, but Cleveland's road woes continued. The Cavs' losing streak is tied with New Jersey's streak in the 1989-90 and 1990-91 campaigns for the second-longest in NBA history. Sacramento's 43-game streak in the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons is the longest. "How do you come up with a formula for a guy like this?" Carlisle said of James. "He has great maturity, great poise, charisma, charm and skill. He's having fun out there, but he's very serious about the game."</div> Full Story Box Score
