Thx to the people who gave me advice on the Arenas deal. Now that he's back on IL it was clearly the right choice. Plus after I turned down the Arenas deal the other team upped the ante and offered me Steve Francis for Randolph. This seems too good to pass up. I know that Francis hasn't played up to expectations so far this year but we're talking about trading a proven stud who went mid-late second round in most drafts for Randolph, who's only been playing bigtime minutes for two months? What do you people think? My roster is: PG: Kidd SG: Rose SF: Kirilenko PF: Brand C: Magloire Ut: Randolph Ut: Maggette Bench: C. Butler, M. Miller, Camby, Van Exel
Francis for Randolph? Im thinking, hell no. It's not that Randolph isn't having a great season. It's just I don't know how he's going to do at the latter part of the season. He's a Jail Blazers and well you don't know how consistent that rotation will be when Zach's troubles finally come back to haunt him. He has yet to be disclipined for DUI.. by the organization and the NBA. I think its too risky even with Francis' migranes troubles. But the trade could be a wash. I wouldn't do it, personally.
No one in their right mind would trade away Zach Randolph for Steve Francis.Randolph is a beast plain and simple.Francis is a shooting guard playing point guard and an average one at that.Until SF is put in the right spot on the floor he will never be really rated high.He can't run an offense. He has struggled big time lately.Randolph is a 20 and 10 guy.Putting up amazing numbers while leading his team.
Randolph has been one the most consistent 4's in the game this year. Francis' numbers will not compare, keep Randolph. The only guard I would trade him for right now would be Baron Davis.
I know its probably too late, but just to add to the convo, Francis 17-6-5 Randoloh 23-12-2 Depends on what you need, what does your roster look like now?
