Kirilenko only makes in the range of $955,000, this year I believe
Radmanovic is on 1.6 mill, but like just about everyone on the aforementioned list is on a rookie contract. It's like saying LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are bargains too, you know guys like Crawford, Murray, Kirilenko and Prince will get bigger contracts once the first one runs out.
I thought Carlos Boozer @ $563,679 was a bargain. Cuttino Mobley @ 5.3 and Francis @ 10 mil was a little low, in comparison to other stars. Ron Artest @ 5.2 was low also. Quentin Richardson @ 1.8 was a little weird. Tony Parker @ 865,200 and Manu @ 1.5 is super deals for that backcourt. But Karl Malone @ 1.4 might just take the cake. I know the question was about the sub-million dollar club, but I thought some of these others were interesting also. And allow me to add Oliver Miller @ $709,224. That's about $2,000 a pound.
Cassell @ 5.2million is mos def the biggest bargin. To get a player that averages 19.5ppg, 7.5ast, 50%FG,40%3pT & almost 4rebs a game for that price is a straight bargin.
The thing that amazes me is how some of the best players in the game(Duncan, J. O'neal, Kidd) make less money then Shawn Kemp, Keith Van Horn, Anfernee Hardaway, Dikembe Mutumbo and Rasheed Wallace. Some of the players who I think are severly underpayed considering their talent are Ronald Murray, Andrei Kirilenko(should be making millions), and Tony Parker. NBA salaries are really messed up in terms of players who get the large contracts, yet they don't produce.

You can bet your bottom dollar that those three you mentioned will make a lot more once they're off their first contract, especially Kirilenko and Parker.

I think Malone was a hell of a bargain. They got one of the greatest players ever at the veterans minimum. Now, granted he is 40, he's still one of the better power forwards in the league and, to me, because of this fact, that's one hell of a bargain.

I think he is a bargain just because he will be able to teach and help develop the young big men of the Lakers while helping the team win a championship. If these kids are going to learn, it should be from the best and Karl was one of the best PF's this game ever saw. Add in his leadership and you have one heck of a steal. Its like getting three in one.
the cheapest, the best Now, i'm curious your opinion in who gets paid the least, and yet is playing the best? I'm not sure if Murray(Sea) is getting paid minimum but i think he is on the way to be the most improved player award anyone else?
Yeah Murray is a good candidate...I think Karl Malone is getting paid the minimum and is averaging 12 ppg and 10 rpg...
the cheapest & best? hmmm...well I once knew this chick in Seattle..oops! my bad wrong thread  Anyhow, there is a list of the players who were the best bargains based on performance...
[*]1.Tayshaun Prince,Detroit Pistons $971,160 [*]2.Brian Cardinal ,Golden State Warriors $663,679 [*]3.Mike James ,Boston Celtics $638,679 [*]4.Ronald Murray, Seattle Sonics $563,679 [*]5.Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat $366,931 [*]6.Dan Gadzuric, Milwaukee Bucks $563,679 [*]7.Mark Blount ,Boston Celtics $950,000 [*]8.Kendall Gill ,Chicago Bulls $1,070,000 [*]9.Raul Lopez, Utah Jazz $776,900 [*]10.Jamal Crawford, Chicago Bulls $2,578,000 [/list] Link and rest of list

Quoting Ming637:

Isn't Gary Payton getting paid minimum with 14.3 ppg and 6 apg?
No, Gary Payton is getting around 5-6 Million a year. It was about 5 at first, but it went up after the salary cap went up, and i think its around 6 now.

I am going to have to be biased and say Andrei Kirilenko Currently he is making 955,000 this year and only 1 million+ the next 2 years His stats: 16ppg, 8.10rpg, 2.8bpg, 2+ steals
