I'd still hafta say Murray. He's averaging over 15 ppg, and is making far less than most of those other guys.

    End of story.

I can't believe how many people have been listed ahead of him, this is a joke, an embarrassment how much this cat is underrated.

murray had a great start... but now that his game is getting familiar with the league... he's been slumping. he's gotta show me he's gonna adjust and start producing before i consider him a bargain. otherwise, he's probably just gonna fade away slowly as the season goes on.

He's a bargain considered what he's making compared to the rest of the league. Even if he is slumping (been good the past 2), he is a major bargain just considering what he's already done this season, and then looking at his salary in comparison to other players.

At the moment I would say, all things considered, the biggest bargain in the league is Andrei Kirilenko. Just from the sheer amount he brings to the floor in so many diferent categories. Guys like Boozer, Parker, Crawford are all around the mark too, but I don't think there is a bigger bargain than Kirilenko, all things considered.

What the hell does it have to do with a great night? He is putting up a double double for the season and shooting over 50% from the field. He is a much better play than many of the players that have been listed in this thread.

I know you are sarcastic, but why make yourself look bad when many will take it the wrong way?

I wouldn't even consider putting guys with rookie contracts under the "underpaid list". They're all going to have big contracts as soon as the contracts run out, and every player originally starts with a rookie contract. Aren't there rookie maximum contracts? I would start that list from people who already past their rookie deals. Cassell and Malone have to go on the top of my list.

Tom Gugliotta is getting paid more than most players in this league.. 2 pts and 2 boards a game and he is getting paid 20 million+ over the next 2 years

Exactly, my list is guys who are past their rookie contract yet still a good buy...

    Boykins $2.5
    Michael Redd $3
    Olowokandi $4.9
    Billups $5
    Cassell $5.2
    Ben Wallace $5.5

Archive this thread, I bet 80% of the rookies people have listed will be "overpaid" in a few years :P that's why this thread should be left to the vets who are underpaid... cause the rooks will be in contract negotiation very soon where they'll demand max contracts.

Not sure who gave you that info, but he's getting $11.5 and is gone after this season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dexter:</div><div class="quote_post">The thing that amazes me is how some of the best players in the game(Duncan, J. O'neal, Kidd) make less money then Shawn Kemp, Keith Van Horn, Anfernee Hardaway, Dikembe Mutumbo and Rasheed Wallace.
    </div>

that's the beauty of guaranteed long term contracts in the nba. remember that when those players got their contracts they were playing at their prime -penny was considered to be the next michael jordan. others get the big contracts because they are the best one available at a given position in a year when a team is desperate to fill that position.

payton signed for the veteran's exemption, which is 5 mil (same as olowokandi). malone had to sign for the vets minimum. casell is a great bargain, because he has been so underrated in his career.

Just an update, but last night Udonis Haslem collected 18 points and 17 rebounds coming off the bench! That is officially one of the best bargains of the year.
