Francisco started the season pretty good for the Nuggets, getting a spot in the rotation and even starting 7 games for them. the last 5 games his numbers are way down, and so are his minutes. What's going on?
Just the regular goings-on of an NBA season: Elson is a rookie, so his play is going to be inconsistent, both in games and in practice. It could be that he's been having some off-practices, which are causing Bzdelik to play him less, and his play is then carrying over into the few minutes that he's getting. Also, the Nuggets realize that they have a chance to make some noise, so they're buckling down some. What was seen as a season to develope Elson, Chris Anderson and others has become one where they are fighting for a low seed in the playoffs, so minutes are sparse for guys not playing big(Melo, Nene, Andre, Camby, Voshon). That could all change within months, weeks, or even days, so don't get down on Francisco yet.
