Well, I think that it is safe to say, with the team the Bulls have now, we will not make the playoffs. Frankly, I am sick of the wait til next year attitude. Obviously, this team needs to make some sort of move. I know that we just made a nice deal, which I thought was pretty good. But that trade did not make a big difference on the team and nor was it meant to. I think are Pg, Sg, and C are pretty solid. Pf? Chandler would be the perfect man there, but he is injured and could be out for a while. Junk Yard Dawg is a good Pf. But, he IMO is better suited coming off the bench. He brings tremendous hustle to the floor, but I can probably shoot better than him. So, no one has really stepped up at this position or do i see as a good starter. The other is the Small Forward position. Yes, I do know that Gendall Gill has been on fire lately. But, lets face it, it will not stay like this. Gendall does bring good defense and an off and on shot. Eddie Robinson has lately been stepping it up. He has a very good baseline shot. And, everyone knows about his great leaping ability. My question to you, is what do you think we should do? Should we go after a good starter, or keep the team we have?

Memphis seems to have a glut of wing players. Miller, Posey, Battier, Jones, Wells, and so on. If they cannot make a large trade for an All Star big man, like they want to, Id love to see something like a Fizer/1st for Battier trade. While that may seem like a lot, its basically our 1st for Battier. We probably wont resign Fizer(Davis, Chandler, Curry, and Williams will all be under contract). And Battier was a high 1st rounder, drafted 6th overall. Sure, Battier will likely never develop into a superstar, but he is a good 2/3 that can defend, hustle, hit shots, etc. Something we need, as Gill is not getting any younger, nor is ERob an outside threat.
I think a Battier trade would be great. I secretly hoped the Bulls would draft Curry and then try a draft day trade for Battier back in '01. well, they made a trade, but just not the right one... Hinrich, Crawford, Battier, Chandler and Curry could be potent in a year or two. But you're still missing that veteran leadership, which Battier comes the closest to providing.
