Bulls Probable Starters C- Antonio Davis PF- Jerome Williams SF- Kendall Gill SG- Jamal Crawford PG- Kirk Hinrich Cavs Probale Starters C- Zydrunas Ilgauskas PF- Carlos Boozer SF- Ira Newble SG- LeBron James PG- JR Bremer Key Matchups: Defending LeBron: Its easy to see, the Cavs are at their best when LeBron is playing at his best. The key will be disrupting the Cavs offensive flow, and that starts with LeBron. Gill and Robinson, and to a lesser extent Williams, will need to make LeBron work for the ball. And on the opposite end of the court, make LeBron work to defend you. Robinson's length and athleticism could give LeBron some trouble. Let the Cavs take outside shots Simply put, let the Cavs beat you from the outside. Don't allow Ilgauskas and Boozer to establish position inside. This is going to be a problem for the Bulls, since Davis gives up size. With Curry and Chandler out, the Bulls will struggle to stop the inside game. The Bulls need to pack the middle. Make the Cavs beat you from outside. Bulls Need to use Picks The Cavs seem to have trouble defending picks. Use this to their advantage by letting Crawford come off of screens. If his outside shot falls early, it will give Cleveland trouble. Hinrich needs to find the open spots and hit shots too. Avoid the Slow Start The Bulls cannot afford to start slowly, especially Crawford. Chicago will get tested without their two big men, so its vital for Hinrich and Crawford to hit the early shots, and start out strong. If not, Chicago could be in for a long night. New Guys vs. New Guys How will the recent additions of Tony Battie, Kedrick Brown, and Eric Williams play as well as the Bulls' additions of Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams, Chris Jeffries, and Rick Brunson. Outlook: A battle of the dwellar Central Division teams takes place. Chicago wins if their G's start strong and they stop the Cavs inside game. Cleveland wins if they force the ball inside. Prediction: Bulls: 83 Cavs 97 Injuries Cavs: DeSagana Diop, Dejuan Wagner Bulls: Tyson Chandler, Scottie Pippen, Roger Mason Jr, Eddy Curry
Nice. I think that the deal the Cavs made, was similar to the Bulls trade. That is in the fact they got rid of a cancer on the team. I think if we can shut down Lebron, they don't have much after that. Big Z can put up some good games, but nothing that will kill you. And now that Davis is gone, they don't have any other scoring options. But, with all the good luck charm... Bulls 90 Cavs 97
James is the point guard by the way. The starting lineup should change by then, Newble has had the flu and Bremer has been terrible. Cavs by 7 though.
Hinrich VS. James. Should be a nice matchup. Although James has the size, athletism, talent, muscle, and ego, Hinrich will with this battle ;-)
Going to be real tough for Hinrich to guard and shoot over James.Kedrick Brown seems to be the new starting SG for the Cavs til Wagner returns.
