<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAGLE, Colo. -- Putting off testimony at a key hearing in the Kobe Bryant case, the judge sent witnesses home Friday and met privately with attorneys arguing over whether the medical history of the woman accusing the NBA star of rape should be allowed as evidence. The closed-door session concluded shortly after 6 p.m. MST, and Bryant and attorneys for both sides left the courthouse without comment. He flew back to Los Angeles, missed tipoff and entered the game in the second quarter of the game against the Nuggets. The outcome of the issue before state District Judge Terry Ruckriegle could play a huge role at trial: The defense hopes to argue the woman had mental problems that could have clouded her perception of what happened between the two in a Colorado hotel room last June. Bryant has insisted they had consensual sex. Ruckriegle asked attorneys on both sides to file motions by Jan. 9 outlining their arguments on the medical privacy issue, which will be taken up again at a Jan. 23 hearing.</div> Full Story
Interesting considering legally one's medical history cannot be brought forth in a criminal proceeding. If the defense wins this motion, I think this case is a slamdunk victory for the defense.
Don't forget to quote... but nice article and find. I hope Kobe ends up innocent (as of most of us). His talent would just be wasted if found guily and trouble will be everywhere if he is found guilty... If the defense can get that evidence...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post"> If the defense can get that evidence... </div> They already have the evidence they just need to get permission to present that evidence in court.

The Los Angeles Times reported today that the district attorney admitted that he lied about his personnal not buying the t-shirts...Apparently they did and he was just trying to cover up...i really question this guys credibility now. He is the District Attorney for goodness sake!!! sorry, no link, i just read it in the paper edit: Espn has an article on it so here's the espn link... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1690226
I'm just going to sit back and see how this will play out. Because as a Laker fan, it's been frustrating enough hearing all these court issues. It's about time we end this drama, and move on.
