Wow, that would be intresting to see. It would bring an excitment to L.A. Rodman seems like he really wants it, so why not.

I don't think Rodman would except his roll on the Lakers. He would play less than 10 minutes a game behind Malone, Slava, Grant, and possibly Cook when he is back from injury. And who do the Lakers drop to make room for him?

Rodman should try playing for an Eastern Conference team if anything. A team like Orlando, Miami, or Toronto could use his rebounding help.

Word. Besides, Malone always hated Rodman. Does anyone else remember the wrestling match that they had?

I liked him when he was on the Lakers. Unfortunately the Rodman experiment failed because of his antics...I could understand it though, because at the time Kurt Rambis was promoted to head coach and Rodman kept pulling the "I've been here before, little man. I know what it takes...don't you tell me what to do."

It was stuff like that and the fact that he came to practice drunk...

Besides, Rodman & Malone on the same team?? Maaaan, that'd be interesting...

Rodman is 41...I don't know how much of a player he can be but he was one of the best rebounders before. I think if hes on the Lakers Malone and Rodman can settle it...(maybe?) lol I think he would want to play for Phil Jackson, since he knows him the best.

As for Rodman's chances at a return to the NBA at 42, Jackson said, "You know, I would hate to bet against it. He's just really a terrific athlete." </div>

This came out in L.A. Times Today.

Dennis Rodman should just stop all that speculation. Just like what my fellow Laker fan said, how many minutes would he get per game? Plus, we already have decent enough bench players that can get the job done. And do you think Los Angeles needs any more distractions? He was already with the Lakers years ago, and what happened? Maybe another team will be desperate enough to pick him up, but not here. Thanks but no thanks.

The Lakers first attempt to bring Rodman in failed miserably - Dr. Buss doesn't get fooled twice. Rodman burned that bridge beyond repair. Won't happen.

A team like Philadelphia could sure use his help, now more than ever. We are the most injury prone team in the NBA this season, and even when we were not injured, size is something that we lacked and still do. The addition of Zendon Hamilton is nice and everything, but a veteran like Rodman, and a talent like Rodman would be too good to pass up.

A huge factor is his age, but I think what Philadelphia needs now is just someone to help them get through the rest of the season, and give us a better push in the playoffs. After all that, we could let him go, and focus on other, younger players.

I myself hate Tyson, but man don't knock Rodman. He's had such a hard life, he had to make a tough image to survive. Plus you have to admit when it comes down to pure play, he's a good player. That's enough for him to return, also he has the heart and ambition, he works so hard man.

True though, he doesn't belong on the Lakers, he really should join teams in need of Rebounders, that was a really good idea that was brought up. He'd have a good impact, he'd do enough to help, he's always been strong. Even if his body fails, his mind and soul will run him through. That dude's a fighter. No denying that.

Shape is right. He's better off with an East team. But I'd like to see him screw up LA's chemistry. hehehe. Just kidding!

I agree with most of that statement, to a certain degree. Other than the fact that nobody should criticize Dennis for his actions because of his difficult life. Really, who's life is perfect? Dennis has chosen to deal with his life by creating a facade, his own alternate reality of sorts. He's nothing like the person he portrays himself to be. If you saw ESPN's "The Season" on Dennis, it was a very telling commentary on why he struggles with life the way he does. Dennis is a very sensitive individual, who in order to protect himself from being hurt, tries to please everyone - all the time.

Personally, I think Dennis is a great guy. But, when his life's hardships are used as an excuse to abuse alcohol, neglect his family and basically make a spectacle of himself purposly, I have a problem with that. Hopefully his recent detox will keep him straight. It's the only way he's ever going to survive, because his reckless behavior was bringing him down fast. If Dennis would just be Dennis, he might not be as popular, but I would bet anything that he would be a much, much happier individual. I'd like to see him back in the NBA, but it's going to have to be on the terms of the team he signs with. Dennis has to humble himself and realize that now he's the one who needs the them. Nobody needs Dennis Rodman.

Getting Rodman wouldn't seem like the worst thing in the world. He can bang in there, and who knows how long Malone will be hurt and if this will carry out through the season.
