<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">The chemistry between Washington Wizards rookies Steve Blake and Jarvis Hayes started taking shape in summer league play, with Blake delivering pinpoint passes and Hayes catching, shooting and scoring in rhythm against fellow rookies and free agents. Now, with both rookies starting for Washington and facing much stiffer competition, the flow between the two has resurfaced.

At this point in the season neither expected to be playing such vital roles, even for one of the league's worst teams (8-17). However, injuries to Jerry Stackhouse (preseason right knee surgery) and Gilbert Arenas (strained abdominal muscles) provided opportunities for Hayes and Blake to establish themselves thanks to increased playing time.

Hayes and Blake are part of a rookie class that is making a major impact on their teams: LeBron James (Cleveland), Carmelo Anthony (Denver), Chris Bosh (Toronto), Josh Howard (Dallas), Wade, Hinrich and Ford. Hayes is the fifth-leading scorer among rookies (11.3 points) while Blake is seventh in assists among first-year players. </div>

The Wizards have a lot of young depth in the backcourt with Arenas, Blake and Dixon. When Stack comes back and Gilbert is 100%, they could make some noise. Hayes has gone unnoticed in Washington, but he's looking great. Etan finally got his opportunity to shine and he's making the most of it. Now if only #5 could develop a little more consistency throughout the year, the Wiz could be a vastly improved team next season.

if your talking about kwame, he isnt on jordan's good list, he was moved down to 3rd string pf, but he played well tonight with 10 and 6 in 22 minutes...i think 6 was his total on boards, i expect him to be traded at the end of the year, and then of course he will break out, knowing the wizards history with big men, chris webber, ben wallace, just to name a few.

as for the rookies, they have been playing amazing ball, especially blake, his stats might not show but he comes off the bench and gets the ball around, c whitney didnt do that for us, Arenas does taht but he is out, Larry Hughes doesnt even look to pass most of the time, And Jarvis Hayes has really gone unnoticed, he has a sweet J that he finally found again, he is going to be coming of the bench once stack gets back, so he should do pretty well against the second team, i expect him to be a big star in this league.

The Wizards future is bright, they have a lot of potential in Kwame(if EJ has a change of heart and plays him), Arenas, Blake, Thomas, Jeffries, and Hayes...i expect them to make some noise in the latter part of this year into next year.

    PLayoff team this year...maybe
Playoff team next year...I guarentee it
