<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Warriors Coach Eric Musselman said he has no timetable for Troy Murphy's return to the starting lineup, though his foot injury is no longer a factor in determining his playing time.

``Troy is progressing really well for a guy who wasn't part of training camp and missed all of the exhibition season,'' Musselman said. ``If a player has a sprained wrist or a broken thumb, at least he can still run. But Troy had an injury where he basically had his foot in an ice bucket.''

Murphy said the plantar fascia tear in his right foot, which caused him to miss the first 22 games, has healed. There's a little soreness, but nothing that would limit his play.

``The coaches were petrified he would come back and have serious pain in his foot after pounding up and down, and he hasn't had that,'' Musselman said. ``That's a great sign. On the flip side, we understand he's a highly competitive athlete who wants to play as much as possible.''</div>

Glad to see Murphy back and doing well. Once he gets familiar with his new teamates and begins to regain his stamina, he'll be back to last season's form. I can't wait.

Yeah this should be good. A rebounding machine, I can't wait for him to get back.

it'll be hard to give him playing time since cliff is doing so well...but i LOVE the lineup of cliff, murph, and cardinal all in...along with speedy and cheaney it's quite a glorious second unit.

However, Murphy is the future, he is the main guy no matter how many games he misses.

What a back-up Cliffy/Murphy will be. Then you have Foyle backing up Dampier. Claxon backing up Van Exel. Cheany backing up J-Rich. I love it.
