<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? Don Nelson poked his head into the training room after the Mavericks got themselves off life support Thursday and yelled to Dirk Nowitzki.

"Nowitzki is alive and well," he bellowed for all to hear. "We hadn't seen him in a while."

He wasn't the only thing that had been missing in action for the Mavericks during a four-game losing streak. But for 24 thrilling minutes in the second half against Sacramento, everything that had been lost was found again ? particularly their shooting eyes.

The Mavericks hit a season-best 13 3-pointers, including 10 in a huge second half, as they overran the short-handed Kings, 111-103, before a national TV audience and sellout crowd at Arco Arena.

"The whole organization needed this win," said Nowitzki, who had 31 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks. "We lost four in a row and we haven't looked good at all. Then we talk about defense and they come out and light us up for 60 points in the first half."</div>

Glad to see Dirk back, doing what he does best. He put up a good stat line, and came up huge. But I have to say the play of the game came from his assist to Finley when he hit that Huge three. Good Job Mavs!

    Full Story

PS.. Is it just me or are the Mavs winning agaisnt the contender teams and just sucking against the normal teams. If they play the way they play agaisnt the Kings, Spurs, and Lakers with other teams it might just turn thier game around.

im happy to see dirk back and doing great, but its obvious that he still isnt the same dirk who scored 25 ppg last year
