<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rick Fox worked through the months of pain and uncertainty, then suffered through a losing trend he was helpless to stem, but his long, hard slog through rehabilitation and doubt is nearly done, his return perhaps only two weeks away. Fox is eyeing the Lakers' home game Jan. 9 against the Atlanta Hawks to make his season debut, though the decision will be coach Phil Jackson's to make. "I could play if I had to right now," Fox said Thursday, before the Lakers played a Christmas Day game he originally intended to be part of. "The last two weeks have been very heartening in the sense that two weeks ago, I was still in that realm of uncertainty. But I feel way beyond the point of uncertainty now, and it's just a matter of continued strength building." </div> Los Angeles Daily News
Good news! Hopefully Ricky's return will give more of a defensive prowess to a ridiculously terrible Laker defense. Pick up the energy Lakeshow!
Well it's about time. Another great defender where assistance is greatly needed in Los Angeles. Get well soon Rick!!!!
Good news for the Lakers but to tell you the truth, if Malone, Payton, Shaq, and Kobe aren't enough, I don't know what is. Especially George, hes a solid shooter, you guys should be doin more than good.
Rick's return cannot be understated. He won't start right away, and might have permanantly lost his starting spot. But he's the kind of player you don't truly appreciate until he's gone. His defense and hustle are much needed right now on this Laker team. I think his return will help spark another winning streak. Welcome back Foxie!!

And they have a million distractions, but they will pick up their pace towards playoffs, like they usually do.
The Lakers are LOADED at the SF spot now...Devean, Fox, Bryon, hell even Kobe...I just hope PJ can figure out a way to maximize effeciency at the 3-spot. It'll be a shame to see Devean's and Bryon's production go down.

I don't think this will hurt George, Phil likes him and if he continues to play well his minutes won't get smaller. When Kobe goes out, I assume George will fill in for Kobe at the 2, which will limit Rush's time.
Who do you guys think is going to be bump into the IR? Walton maybe? I doubt Cook since he just got activated and he is the Lakers 1st round pick...
I think it has to be Walton, he's number four on the SF depth chart on this roster. If Russell and Rush continue to play well and Cook produces, he may be on the IR for awhile.
