The Heat destroyed the Wizards for the second time this WEEK when they were on the road in Washington with a final score of 92-84. At one point, the Wizards led by as much as 8 points and out-rebounded the Heat 42-33, with 15 of those Wizard rebounds being offensive.

Eddie Jones led the heat with a game high 22 points and 8 assists, 12 of his points were the result of 3 pointers in which he shot 50% (4-8).

Dwyane Wade had 17 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. In the 4th quarter, the ball was tipped up high and everyone was scrambling for it, Wade jumped up extremely high going for the ball and he landed on his wrist and was laying there on the floor in pain for a good minute until the Heat got the ball back and called a timeout. He went back into the lockerroom and the status of his injury is not known, but as soon as it becomes available i'll make a new thread about it.

Lamar Odom also had 17 points, with 4 assists, 8 rebounds (3 offensive), and 1 steal. Brian Grant had 14 points going 7-10 from the field with 5 rebounds (2 offensive).

Caron Butler had a terrible night playing 27 minutes and only scoring 1 point which came from the free throw line and he missed is second attempt. He shot 0-5 from the field and had 5 rebounds with only 1 assist.

Rasual Butler and Rafer Alston had great nights coming off the bench with 10 and 9 points respectively. Rasual Butler went 4-5 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc with 2 rebounds; Rafer Alston went 3-6 from the field and 1-2 from downtown with 2 assists. Rafer also had a disappointing showing at the free throw line shooting only 50% (2-4) which was definitely not expected.

Loren Woods had only 2 points which came from the free throw line in which he went 2-4, he also had 3 rebounds, two being offensive.

Larry Hughes led the Wizards with 21 points, 7 recounds (3 offensive) and 3 assists. Jarvis Hayes had 14 points and 6 rebounds, Etan Thomas had 13 points and 10 rebounds with 5 of those being offensive, Brendan Haywood had 11 points, and Kwame brown had 10 points with 6 rebounds.

Everyone talks about Wade and Odom being the future of the Heat, but in the long run Rafer Alston and Rasual Butler will play just as important a role. Rasual is clutch!

The Heat also beat the Wizards in Miami this past Tuesday night with a final score of 79-72, for that recap go here: http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10490

    Dwyane Wade Injury Update:

I just read on ESPN.com that Dwyane Wade's X-rays were negative and it was only a sprained wrist. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow before the Knicks game and his status as to whether he will play or not will most likely not be known until just before the game.

They didnt "destroy" the wizards, until the 2nd unit was taken out, Kwame was playing well, he was yanked, same with the rest of the 2ndf unit, then the 1st unit gave the game up, Wade is really amazing, i hope that he is ok...Rasuel(sp) Butler killed us again...

This was only Rasual Butler's 5th time ever playing in an NBA game, he did great. He was injured in the pre-season which is why he hasn't played until just recently.
