I hope he returns from being injured. He's so underated like Mark Madsen. He has incredible, hustle and power. Mostly heart and effort. People overlook unlike Ginobli because he appears ugly and dirty whereas Ginobli appears the opposite, handsome and clean. He is a rebounding machine, what're your views of him?

awww no! a lot of people like malik! he's not ugly and dirty! i love how he plays, he gives all his effort in the game and i like how he never gives up... i once watch da spurs losing badly and he's still performing he's best and giving something for the spurs fans to watch... i love that about him.

I love Malik and all , hes a great player and since the '99 season hes been improving his game but...lets not forget that this 13 game-winning streak has come while Horry got most of the minutes (wether it be that Malik was injured or that Pop just decided to give the mins. to Rob)...Malik hasnt been playing too well this season , he misses to many easy shots in the paint.Horry in my opinion is playing better and should keep on playing the minutes that once belonged to Malik...hopefully he can turn it around like he did last season , but until he does Pop should keep on playing Big Shot Rob.

Popovich in my opinion isn't one of the better coaches, look at what happened to such an awesome shooter. The great Steve Smith. Plus Jackson's gone, Malik was never much of a shooter anyway, they rely on his strength, tenacity, endurance but most of all his ability of hustling and getting the boards. He'll come back, someone as strong and brave as him will soon get back on his feet and go back to playing great basketball.

Are you serious? Popovich is one of the best coaches in the NBA...Infact maybe the best. Why is it his fault Smith and Jackson left? Sjax was offered a big contract but turned it down which cost him in the end.Smith got old which is why he never played.

    For one....he sparingly used Kerr.

edit: he's as bad as the old Celtics coach, sorry for banging on him but I feel he's pretty hasty. He's better then most of the coaches though. I'll always love Bird, Saunders and Rivers.

He didn't play Kerr much because of his age.He didn't want to tire him out.Kerr came up big in the playoffs because of limited minutes.Pop was last years coach of the year.Yet he isn't that good? [IMG] Without Pop's great coaching the Spurs would not of been champions last season. There were alot of factors why the Spurs won it all last year...but Popovich was a big reason for it.He helped made Stephen Jackson into the player he is today.

Thanks for setting me straight, I never knew he was that much of a help, I always thought the Spurs pretty much coached themselves. I wish he'd had taken out Parker whilst he was playing badly though. That was one of his big mistakes. I guess I never really looked at his pros.

When Tony Parker played badly he brought in Speedy Claxton.Anyone who saw the finals would of seen him do so.Speedy outplayed Jason Kidd in that game 6...Which is he he kept playing him.Infact Claxton came up big all series.
