<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On August 18, 2003, the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks were involved in a nine-player trade. Much to the chagrin of many Warriors' fans--having to say goodbye to Antawn Jamison--who say the exchange of talent is incomparable, this trade will reap more benefits for the Warriors than many may think. On the surface, it only addresses the loss of Gilbert Arenas and to what extent is yet to be seen. As it addresses the loss of Arenas, it seems counter-productive to lose Jamison, the so-called "leader" of the team. But, Jamison was a moral leader. A team leader he was not; I never saw that in his game. His play was rugged and weary, as much as it was effective. I see no problem with Mike Dunleavy Jr., the third overall pick last year for the Warriors, filling the vacant small forward position. Not only will this allow Dunleavy to expedite his development as a solid NBA player, it will quiet those fans who unfairly call him a bust simply because he did not put up the numbers as the likes of Amare Stoudamire and Yao Ming. All in all, this was purely a business move for the future. The Warriors botched things up by overpaying Jamison and Fortson. This was perhaps the only way to alleviate those mistakes and to prevent future mishaps like letting Arenas and Boykins walk.</div> Article by Hodaka ================================ What a great article! Go read the rest of it by clicking the link I provided. Believe it or not, this article was written by Kensaku, our newest member. We share many of the same views on this Jamison trade. He was not a leader on the court, it was in the Warriors best interest to let him go.
Wait... are you saying that the new member Kensaku, wrote this artcle? So, he is a writer? That's awesome. And nice artcle. I agree with it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jump:</div><div class="quote_post">Great article. Its all true too. Future mod? </div>He may be over qualified. He did write it and he has written many others that I will be posting. The best part about it is that he's a Warriors fan.
YO, thanks for the compliments fellas. I'm in the midst of finding a job (just graduated college) so at this point, I probably won't be able to produce many articles, but once things settle down, I will.
Great article man, I can't agree more with what you said. Hopefully you will stick around and write more in the future, and it's a good thing your a Warrior fan!

The Warriors are a frustrating team to watch right now but you got to see your Celtics play some good ball.
Things keep getting better and better. As we get better, we get more comfortable so less tension meaning better play. I feel for Dunleavy though, he probably was inconsistent and played badly sometimes because he was afraid of disappointing the coach, his dear ol' dad.
