The snub thing every year with Sam is getting kind of old.
I understand the frustration, really do. But he isn't the first and won't be the last to get disrespected by the masses. Right or wrong, the ASG is nothing more than a popularity contest. I'm with purehoops, true fans know & game recognizes game. Sam has respect around the L, that's what matters most.
Agreed, and the player awards, weekly, monthly, and end of the year, are much more reflective of a player's worth than ASG selection. It's a popularity contest quite easily, and lets face it, Sam isn't one of the most favored players of today. I think that this is instead a testament to the fact that the Wolves system is working fine, and that Sam fits in quite well with his new mates. This is a team that could hit 2nd or even 3rd round territory. I wouldn't hesitate to pick them in a 7 game series with the Lake Show, especially with Sam in the mix.
finally same gets some respect and recognition. maybe people will see he is player of the week, check out his stats and some people will start voting him for ASG. or maybe theyll go see how ugly he is and be repulsed :mrgreen:

Dude does have somewhat of an "alien" quality to his appearance, but I hope that doesn't keep him from getting the votes he deserves. If that were the case, poor Deke Mutombo would have never been close to making an ASG! - I feel bad saying that, because I don't judge people based on appearances. But Deke just was not blessed with Denzel Washington looks.
Cassell deserves this award. He has played out of his mind the last month and week. He has helped the Wolves rebound from a slow start. KG and him are a nice combo.
- yea, sammy c is very well deserving of this award. I think that they NBA is definately recognizing what talent the twolves have here.
