<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 9SA21SPURS20:</div><div class="quote_post">man oh man , this site is just full of anti-spurs fans... havent u guys been watching the NBA lately? I can understand if some of u guys dont choose SA , but the SPURS atleast deserve a few mentions...Anyways im sticking with my preseason prediction: EAST:Sixers WEST:Spurs Spurs in 5 or 6 p.s. twolves in the finals? please! First they need to learn how to get out of the 1st rd.</div> Beat the Lakers this year, and then I will say that the Spurs will be in the Finals. The Timberwolves are a much more improved team than last year. Garnett finally has some support to help him out(Sprewell/Cassell). They now have no excuse not to get out of the first round.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">Are you kidding? The Twolves are such a hard working team. And about the Spurs, course I haven't forgotten about them. They're one of the most impressive teams ever. As long as they don't gain Kidd through the loss of say Malik Rose and get him for free, they'll be even stronger. The Spurs and Twolves are more of defensive teams, great in it infact, since the scores never usually go into triple digits. Minnesota will get past the first round I assure you. I love the Spurs, they have the ultimate combination of traits, "skill and determination." I've said that time and time again. Other teams have that too but on different levels, and that includes the Twolves so they will get quite far in the playoffs. Lakers and Dallas are other teams of "the level".</div> First off why did you mention Jason Kidd for? he is in NJ...and will stay there.2nd the Wolves may be hard working but the 2nd round is the best they will go.It will be Spurs or Lakers in the finals once again....Kings should be right up there again but I just don't see their style of ball working against S.A or L.A.
Kings and Hornets/Nets I think everyone(including the actual teams) are focusing too much on the Lakers and Spurs. I maintain what I guessed when LA first signed GP and Malone: they still won't make it out of the west. I have a feeling that Sacto will sneak up and bite people. The Hornets are coming out if they all(read: Baron and Mash) stay healthy. If one or both gets hurt, NJ makes it for the 3rd straight year.
Hornets wont get to the finals without Masburn... and Im not so sure how he fits into to the skeem when he comes back. They are my favorites however to make it out of the redefinied weak east. Indiana being a second choice as long as they get past this nonsense that they are better off without Ron Artest. West. Clearly the Lakers. We have guys starving for a Championship... a guy looking to be recrowned as the Most Dominate Player... and there is Kobe. I like the Wolves to blow past the first round... hell and I bank on them beating every team on they way except maybe the Lakers. I first want to see how these teams match up in a head to head battle before I declare the Wolves chances against the Laker Show.
Celtics vs. Lakers; Celtics in 6  If only... I think that the Pacers will go to the finals, unless they face the Nets in the playoffs, in which case the Nets will go to the finals again, and lose to the Lakers again. My pick in the West is definitely the Lakers, though. I don't want them to win but I think that they will.
Pacers vs. Lakers They are no.1 in their conferences but, Kings are just 1 game back from the lakers. But really, I expect the Lakers to win the champions because they have 2 future hall of famers and at the team's best in 3+years.
Im Going to say Spurs and Sixers, Spurs play great eam defense, and their offesne is coming, they also know how to play play-off basketbal, and sixers youask?, thats simple A.I will not let his team slip out before the finals, period!
Kings VS Bulls, Sac wins in 7 games Scottie Pippen is going to come back from injury and lead the baby bulls to the final playoff spot in the weak east. The bulls dismantle pacers first round and barely make it to the finals. The kings beat the lakers, finally; they have Brad Miller who is playing extremely well and they have an awesome record w/ out C-Webb, when Webber returns, the Kings are the team to beat. The Bulls fall behind the series 0-3, but make an amazing 3 game streak led by hot shooting of jamal crawford, but alas the game ends in a double overtime w/ Chris Webber taking a jump shot over the fallen eddy curry. KINGS FINALLY WIN..
I think it will be the Lakers from the west ofcourse and the Hornets from the east.. The Hornets have a very good team and when Mash comes back they will be even better.. Just a thought
Hmm... Nets are climbing up at the standings now, so I really think they will reach the finals, no other team in the east right now can do it!
