After reading that article it is obvious he will go to college next year if he sticks to his own declaration. He states in the interview that he will only go pro if he is in the top 3. The odds of that are very close to zero. I can't imagine he'll manage to play point guard or off guard in the pro's. Possibly in the NCAA, depending on where he goes to school. Guys like him usually turn into high-post forwards in an NBA offense. THere they can take advantage of thier size and perimeter skills, without quicker guards taking advantage of them. Edit: Remember, even Paul Silas is still skeptical about Lebron James' ability to become a real point guard. If he can't do it, how can Ivan?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting starman85:</div><div class="quote_post">Why a sg? What's wrong with Houston? I think you meant center or pg, which is right. If they can get him, Chris Thomas from Notre Dame might fit. He can pass but also score, which the Knicks need/want. However, I think the draft decision is moot. With Isiah at the helm, look for NY to try to build through trades rather than the draft(not that they were doing differently before). If they can get Warrick it would be nice, but he'd be hard-pressed for pt for a couple seasons.</div> Yea, they should be able to draft Chris Thomas.
No, I posted that before the Marbury trade happened. Now that they have Stephon, they don't need Thomas, and as Blinger mentioned, the Knicks no longer have the option to draft Thomas unless he slips to the 2nd round.
