You gotta read this. Raps suck at picking draft picks!!!!!!! In 1995 they picked Damon.S and we could have picked Micheal Finley. In 1996 there was a rule that Franchises that only been in the year for so long is not allowed to get #1 so we picked #2 and drafted Marcus Camby and Allen Iverson was drafted #1 in that year and still if we didnt get to pick #1 there were still P.Stojakovic, A.Walker,Ray.Allen,S.Marbury,K.Bryant,J.O'neal,S.Nash,Z.Ilgauskas and S.Rahim who i dont like. In 1997 Raptors were smart and drafted TMAC. In 1998 we were suppose to get A.Jamison but we got Carter and GSTATE got Jamison but there were some super satrs that got drafted after Carter like Dirk and Pierce and also Ricky Davis and Bonzi Wells but i would have not taken them over Carter. In 1999 the Raps drafted Jonathan Bender 5th overall!!!!!!!! and there were still Ron Artest,Cory Maggete, Shawn Marion,Andre.K,Jason Terry,Andre Miller and Wally.S and Richard Hamilton who i don like that much. In 2000 the raps drafted Mo Pete which is ok though there was Micheal Redd who was drafted after him and i think some few okay guys that i dunno much about. In 2001 the Raps drafted M.Bradley when they could have gotten Gilbert Arenas, Tony Parker,Zach Randolph. In 2002 the Raps picked Kareem Rush and traded him to the Lakers for Lindsey Hunter and Chris Jefferies i think. In 2003 we got Chris Bosh who is good but there were other good guys behind him like Dwayne Wade and others. Imagine the Raps team if we actually drafted right. Stupid Raps should have atleast gotten TMAC to stay when he was bascilly still a Rookie. Wouldnt the Raps be KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright rapsalltheway, a lot of the things you have mentioned in this post do not in any way prove that the Raps suck at picking drafts. First of all...nobody knew that Damon S. would develop a major drug problem and become a minor role player (not anymore though) for the Trailblazers. + he got Rookie of the Year if you didn't know which i think means we drafted good. Second of all...when you can draft as high as #2, YOU DRAFT THAT PERSON. ANY team in our situation would have done the same and got Camby. Third, you state that the Raps did Good when drafting T-Mac in 1997 which is stupid because you are completely condradicting your post. Again in 1998...you say that we could have got all these good players and even Jamison but trade Carter....but then for some reason at the end of that point, you say that you would NOT have taken them over Carter. Michael Redd was the 43rd pick and Mo Pete was the 21st pick...think about it for a second. + you in the end say that there were "some few okay guys that i dunno much about" oh my goodness...that just makes this post make look even worse. And yet again, there is something wrong with this post. Jefferies was traded with Lindsey Hunter and a second-round draft pick to the Raptors for Tracy Murray, Kareem Rush and a second-round draft pick. Finally, you finish the post by saying that we got Bosh when there were other good players behind him. THe ONLY player other than Bosh that we could have selected is Wayde. Ford is definitely not better than Bosh and if Miami could have picked Bosh over Wayde, they wouldve done it in a heartbeat. THe only thing i CAN agree with you is drafting Bradley over Randolph. I had a feeling we made a bad choice that day. I know you love to post man, but next time, get your facts straight.

Funny how hind sight is 20-20. Easy to criticize after you've seen how the players have developped over the last 5-6 years. I'm sorry but this is a ridiculous post. That's like saying the bulls were the smart ones drafting MJ 3rd and the other teams were stupid. When you draft it is a guess. You see what the player has done in High School or College and make a guess of how he will do at the Pro level. I doubt there have been very many #1 picks who became the most dominate player of their respective draft class.

I have to agree with jenike, you can't judge after a player has developed. If the Raptors knew how good a player would develop, would they not have picked them?. You could use this post against any team. BTW, its dwYane Wade
